I brought my 10 week old puppy to this 6/4/2012

I brought my 10 week old puppy to this clinic to get a basic checkup, no tests, nothing like that. I wanted to get him checked out so that I could get some flea preventative and so my vet could see him. I have to say I am very disappointed with the service I received and am upset that they slyly decided to give me and charge me for trifexis without consulting me, asking if I wanted it, or even telling me the price. I feed my animals raw after doing a lot of research and considering all of my options. I decided that this was the best and healthiest way to go for my new pup and my cats. I also decided ahead of time that I would wait to neuter my puppy until he is done growing and his growth plates close because he will be a mobility service dog and he needs those hormones to ensure proper growth. The vet that saw me harassed me about my decisions and acted like I was an imbecile. She told me that I should neuter him as early as possible so he would ""get bigger."" Doing this would compromise his bone density and structure. She also got upset with me about my feeding choices but I am not surprised about that. My biggest problem with this clinic is the inherent greedy nature of their business. The moment I walked in they were trying to charge me for this un-needed test and that un-needed test. Then, at the end of the visit they handed me a bag full of pamphlets and said it was a ""new puppy package"" or something along those lines. I thought, ""oh, how nice. Some free information packets and such."" That is, until I went to pay and the check up that was supposed to cost $48 now cost over $65. Turns out they were selling us trifexis, which was in the puppy package bag. I never spoke to the vet about this at all and was never asked if I wanted it. I did not want it at all. Instead I got revolution which turns out to be cheaper then Trifexis... Go figure. They were trying to get more money out of me and doing in a very low and sly way. I am very disappointed that they tried to pull the wool over my eyes and line their pockets with my money. I will be searching for another vet for sure. more

We offer a variety of medical services for your family pets from the tiniest hamster to the largest of dogs. Although diet, exercise, social interaction and training are important aspects to your pets general well-being, we strongly believe in a good preventative health care program for a long, healthy life.

Now seeing exotic pets. Call for appointment hours.

**Physical Exams:** We stress thorough physical exams. Annual exams frequently reveal early signs of medical problems, which if caught early, can be effectively treated

**Blood work:** This should be performed periodically especially as your pet ages. We consider pets over the age of six a Senior pet. It's a great idea for those under the age of six to have a Wellness Blood Screen

**Dentistry:** Dental disease is the # 1 health problem in dogs and cats over the age of five. Many pets need annual dental cleanings after that age

**Ultrasonography:* This is a great way to get a 3 dimensional look inside your pets body. Most animals seldom object to lying still for this non-painful diagnostic tool

**Surgery:** We recommend spaying or neutering your pet at an early age to prevent problems like breast tumors and prostate trouble

**Boarding:** Sometimes it's necessary to travel without our furry or feathered family members. We would love to have them stay with us. This also helps with your pets socialization skills
