It's tough finding a vet you truly trust (almost as hard as finding your own doctor ;-)). We received a welcome to the neighborhood flyer when we moved to HB and even though we had a veterinarian in Fountain Valley, since this hospital was closer and we had a free coupon to try them out we figured we'd try them out. We are so glad we made that choice. We were nervous at first because the lobby was really full and we were afraid we'd be stuck with a long wait. They told us when we checked in that they were running about 10 minutes late and offered us a cup of coffee or juice. The girl at the front desk was very friendly and came over to say hi to our dog and give him a little treat even though they were busy. We were already happy about our decision, but then we were so impressed with how thorough Dr. Hill's assistants were and so knowledgeable and the treats kept flowing so Buddy was clearly happy too. We had an incredible relationship with Dr. Boodman, we considered him family, especially after he took on our animals as though they were his. We were skeptical when Dr. Hill bought his practice as those would be some BIG SHOES TO FILL and she has done a fantastic job, in doing so! She has made a couple heartbreaking moments, private and comforting. She actually came to our home to put our girl down when we just could not bare to take her aching last moments in to a sterile office. She has given us longer days with our aging pets. Every minute counts and she is worth every minute of your families pets lives, ill or healthy! more

From my first phone call in Mika was very informative on what would be expected for our first visit and what information to bring. She even reminded us to bring a poop sample to check for parasites. Upon arrival Chris greeted us and immediately began our paperwork and then Omar was the technician that took a thorough history and even noticed my pet had an ear infection. I thought he was the doctor, but after that he told me Dr. Hill would be right in. Then Dr. Hill talked to me about my pup's training, feedingschedule/recommendations, flea prev, pet insurance you name it. She really seemed to genuinely care about my pet and not just the money. As a matter of fact she gave me free sample of food and the flea product. How cool is that? Then the following day after my pup got his first shots I got not one but two calls checking up on him (one from Chris and one from Dr Hill). Who does that anymore? And after seeing how busy her practice was (but I only waited like 5 or 10 minutes to see the doctor) I was really impressed. Then I went back for a bath and was shocked at how easily and smoothly everything went (compared to Petco). I just got Jax neutered and he came running out to the front to greet me like nothing had happened. Dr. Hill made sure his pain was controlled and he's already back to normal only 48 hours after his neuter. I'm going to refer everyone I know!! Dr. Hill and her staff are wonderful. We switched from Warner West Pet Clinic and were very happy. Her office is very clean and professional. She is a bit pricey but she takes very good care of our dogs. She's very thorough and explains everything in detail. She has a great personality and really cares about the health of our labs. We'd highly recommend her to anyone. more

The previous owner, Dr. Boodman, was wonderful but he sold the business to Dr. Hill. Dr. Hill and staff did take good care of my pet, which was most important, of course. However, the fees were much higher than expected. For example, she charges around $400 to clean a healthy adult cat's teeth. Additionally, Dr. Hill does not appear to engage clients in decisions regarding their pet's health, and could work on her bedside manners. Based on care alone, I would have given her a higher rating, but the whole experience was just okay. more

This used to be the best vet in or out of town when Dr. Boodman was there, but he sold the business and it is now the worst!!!\r I did not know there were new owners and they put my very old dog under anesthesia ...AND THEN CALLED ME....to tell me the previously quoted $300 operation would be over $1000. They never checked the problem before they put her under. \r \r I decided to give them one more chance and with an appt. took my cat with a cut on her ear in for treatment. The nurse said the Dr would not see the cat until the mites were cleaned out. I told her there were no mites...then another nurse said the ear had to be cleaned before the Dr.would see or treat the cat. They took the cat in the back. I have never had a Dr. not be the first to see the problem. The two nurses left to find out how much the procedures would cost BEFORE the doctor came in. After one hour of this I demanded my cat back and left. All of this time my dog was in the hot car waiting for vaccinations, and they k more

I was referred to Dr. Hill by my neighbor and I had a great experience. Dr. Hill spent a long time with me explaining what was wrong with my pet (she has allergies) and how we can try to control them. She also talked a lot about nutrition and even showed me how to brush my pets teeth. She was extremely caring and really made me feel comfortable and that I was in good hands!! If you want a very thorough exam and a complete understandable explanation of what's wrong with your pet this is the place to go! The staff also really seemed to know what they were talking about and to genuinely care and the hospital is really clean and welcoming. more
