Dr.Murphy and his staff are amazing! 1/19/2011

My 14 year old dog Yukon was breathing hard and he couldn't walk. I took him to Dr. Murphy. Dr. Murphy prescribed extensive diagnostics including x-rays, ultrasound and complete blood work up. He found Yukon's problem and started him on an aggressive treatment plan. Within a few weeks he was back to normal. I couldn't believe how reasonable the cost was for all the testing and treatment. I was surprised at Dr. Murphy's ""open hospital policy"" which allowed me to stay right with Yukon through it all. I owe Yukon's renewed quality of life to Dr. Murphy and his staff!! more

Great place for your pet's well being 1/19/2011

I took my cat Tippy to Dr. Murphy and was impressed by not only the knowledge that Dr. Murphy had about felines but also the knowledge of his Veterinary Medical Techs. I have taken my cat to cat hospitals who claim to specialize in cat health, but never could come up with a diagnosis for my cat. Dr. Murphy not only diagnosed my cat but now she is healthier and acting like a kitten again at 15 years old. Also, the reception staff is extremely pleasant to deal with and know your name and always ask how you and your pet are doing as you walk in. Thank you Dr. Murphy for all you have done and thank you to your awesome staff as well. more

Best Vet in Palm Harbor!!! 1/13/2011

I brought Tucker in to Dr.Murphy when he was feeling sick, and luckily Dr.Murphy was able to find that my dog was healthy! He was just having an episode after eating some plants in our yard. After walking in the back where the Veterinary Assistants work, I could see all the high-tech equipment they use. I feel very confident in Dr.Murphy treating Tucker and comfortable leaving him there for the day with the nice Veterinary Assistants. I felt like the entire staff cared for me and my dog and wanted to help us the minute we walked in the door. After spending time with the staff at the Animal & Bird Medical Center, I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving him anywhere else. more

The Best Animal Hospital I Have Ever Met 12/6/2010

I have had dogs my whole life and been to many veterinarians, but I have never been to a veterinary hospital as good as this one. Dr. Joel Murphy is the most knowledable, and skilled veterinarian I have ever met. He knew more about cats than any cat hospital I have ever been too. The hospital has state-of-the-art equipment and very reasonable fees. The other thing I really like is that in addition to traditional care they are very knowledable in holistic medicine. Dr. Joel Murphy is known across the United States for his supplements, Animal Planet, the books he has written. If you have a pet you have to check this hospital out. more
