Animal Barn

I left my two dogs at the Animal Barn in Mobile, AL for 2 nights. When I got them back to my house, I noticed that my bulldog mix was limping. I started to check her feet and noticed several sores on the bottom and side of the foot on which she was limping. This was within 2 hours of me picking them up from Animal Barn, and the only place they had been since picking them up was in my house. When I called Animal Barn to inquire about this, I was told that they did not know anything about it, it was never brought to their attention, and that if she was still limping by the end of the day that I should seek veterinary attention. In addition to this, my dogs panted the entire way back to my house and drained both water bowls as soon as they were inside. I am not happy with the quality of care my dogs received, and they will never be going back here. more

I have a puppy who is paralyzed and was neutured a few days ago. I got called into work and couldn't leave him by himself so I brought him to animal barn for 5 hours. He drags on his bottom and can't be left alone for fear of tearing stitches or getting it infected by going to the bathroom on himself. they said someone would be able to watch him specifically and take care of him. They put him in a cage he couldn't even lay down in!! When I picked him up his band aid over the stitches(to keep out infection) was soaked in pee and half off. He had poop on him! And they went to "clean" him and set his stitches on a very dirty surface! My dog was parched and sweating! He was in an in closed cage next to the door with no air! When I picked him up his ears were back. They did NOT take care of him at all. Even to check and see he pooped! I'm so sad my dog had to go through their lack of care! more
