Neighborhood Favorite 5/17/2012

Great food, friendly service. Daily specials well worth your visit with a friend! If you love Italian fare, they have your menu. The pizza is a definite winner that competes with ANY in town! Meatball hoagie my fav! Spaghetti, various hoagies/subs , salads, the list goes on. You could eat here daily and not get bored of it. I take my 10 month old grandson weekly, and he LOVES it! more

Tasty Pizza 5/1/2009

I really enjoyed the taste of this pizza. I went to Spinneli's and was highly disappointed. This pizza did remind me of Mr. Gatti's pizza, however the taste is way better. I never heard of Windy City, but have heard of Tony Boombaz and will look forward in trying them as well as other pizza's in the city. Pros: Taste, specials, ingredients Cons: Terrible atmosphere (order the pizza to go). more

This is not as fantastic as everyone says. It's decent, the sauce is spicy (aka tasty for me) but I'd go to Windy City or BoomBazz for pizza first--they have more interesting flavor combos and better crust. Pros: Tasty sauce, cheese and crispy crust Cons: Bland flavored crust. Small size for price more

BEST PIZZA ANYWHERE 8/6/2006

Everyone must try this pizza, it is absolutely the best pizza in Louisville! They have great specials, especially on Monday nights, 40 % a large or bigger and Saturday's. My family and I are becoming regulars on Monday nights now because of the great tasting pizza and family atmosphere provided at Angio's. My family and I highly recommend this place to anyone. Wonderful fresh toppings 8/6/2006

This past week was my first time for visiting Angio's. It was recommended by a friend and I am glad that I decided to try it. The service was excellent! We waited about fifteen minutes for our food and upon arrival the look of the delux pizza alone was enough to make your mouth water. The toppings on the delux were loaded high and it tasted out of this world. The fresh cut vegetable toppings were delicious compared to the old skimpy ones you get at the chain restuarants. Pizza Is WAY Overrated!!! 5/11/2006

I know good pizza. I've eaten pizza all over the U.S. - particularly in New York, Chicago and out West. I've also traveled extensively in Italy, so I feel pretty well-qualifed to judge a well-prepared pizza. With that in mind, I will just say that this establishment is WAY, WAY overrated. Of the two times I sampled pizza from Angio's, both times were disappointing. The crust is like Papa John's - a chewy, doughy consistency that is quite bland - like Papa John's. How about using real cheese for a pizza? The cheese this establishment uses is very cheap and of a processed consistency. It doesn't even taste real. The only thing good about the pizza is the sauce - which was a little spicy, but to my liking. Bottom line, you can purchase better store-bought pizza for a lot less and still end up with a much better pizza... Pros: Good Parking Cons: Slow Service, Noisy, Overrated more

Definite Must 10/4/2002

The best pizza I have ever had! The great sauce and crust are outdone only by the superior service received on the dine in experince. The toppings on each pizza are enough to make three or four pizzas at the other local establishmennts. The value can't be beat either. You get a larger pizza for about the same price. The number one thing you cannot help but overhear at every table while dining at Angio's: ""This is the best sauce I've ever had!"" A unique blend of Italian herbs and spices gives Angio's Pizza its distinctive flavor. Although I think the cheese lends something to the heart of its flavor, the overwhwelming majority prefer the sauce. Who am I to argue? In addition to great pizza, Angio's also offers a full complement of Italian fare, from pasta (manicotti, rigatoni and,of course, spaghetti) to oven baked submarine sandwiches (try the Italian Sub!). Recently renovated, Angio's has a party room available to accomodate large groups. Best of all, this room is available at no additional cost to those who desire it. Simply call ahead and the management will make the proper arrangements. Stop on in, and don't forget to try the new Cinnamon Sticks! Pros: Sauce, Good Parking, Great Values more

Great Pizza, Great Service 8/28/2002

Recently ordered from Angio's and had a pizza delivered to the house for a game. The pizza was wonderful (less greasy than most in the area), the delivery time was amazing (20 minutes, although, we do only live a couple miles away), and the value was unsurpassed (an XL for $12). Great Pizza With a Mom & Pop atmosphere 8/23/2002

Angios has great pizza as well as sandwiches and typical Italian cuisine. It is a great place to bring your kid's teams after a game, or to have a group meeting or party. Now that the owners have remodeled, it is great for an intimate dinner date or to bring the folks for spaghetti night. No beer lover could pass up the bottle beer special on Wednesday- theyre only $1.00!! Pack up the kids, call your date, or call for delivery because Angios is a must have tonight! Angios Italian restaurant makes the best pizza's. They load their pizzas with toppings. I could only eat two slices of pizza becuase the toppings filled me up so much, unlike the other pizza chains in Louisville. Pros: They load on toppings, Friendly service, Casual atmosphere more
