This is an old favorite of mine, I've been a patron of Angelo's since I was a kid. I still miss the sawdust on the floor, but everything else about the place is still top-grade. The slow-cooked beef brisket is absolutely incredible, as are the fall-off-the-bone ribs. Focus on the meat when you go, not the side dishes, which are for the most part mediocre. And don't forget the frosted schoooner of beer! I'm not much of a beer drinker myself, but these schooners are something special on a hot Texas day. Perfect to wash doen the best BBQ in the Metroplex!
Pros: inexpensive beer, beef brisket, the bear at the door
Cons: side dishes
