A Real Treat! 1/17/2008

Brocato's is truly a real treat. It has been renovated since Katrina, so it is now slightly larger than before (thank goodness!) Be prepared for a line on weekend nights. Seating is limited as well. Parking isn't always very convenient, BUT it is definitely worth it! Pros: Authentic Italian Dessert Treats,Service Cons: Parking, Limited Seating, Can Be Quite Crowded more

I love the old time ambience of this place, yes parking is not highly available, but so worth it! the strawberries and cream ice cream is so great , and the cheesecake i'd rival to my favorites in New York! the ice cream is Very fresh, they make it every day... Angelo Brocato is definitely the place to go for flavorful ice cream at ridiculously low prices. They also have an amazing dessert selection which I have yet to try as I can't seem to make it past the ice cream. If you're in New Orleans and love ice cream, you've gotta try this place. Quite possible if Ice Cream is the savior! Angelo Brocato's Ice Cream is so rich, it would make Bill Gates jealous. My favorite is the coffee flavor, but so many others are excellent. And the other dessert choices offer a pleasant vacation from the usual processed sugar you find in the grocery stores. Cons: Parking more
