My licensed, highly experienced and subsequently "white" husband was fired from Angell Plumbing after working there for 2.5 yrs. Though he was given a raise of 4.00 over the past 2 years, he was still making less than the average for this position in Austin, TX and was told he would get more after he got his lic. After he got his lic. with a great deal of HIS time, money and effort, they continually put him off about a pay raise and then suddenly fired him. To add insult to injury, they are fighting his measly 300.00 per week unemployement claim stating that he quit.. I asked Jason how long we were supposed to wait until he called or filed for unemployement. I got no answer. I am OUTRAGED! My husband missed mabey two days of work in 2.5 yrs. and would NEVER quit his job, we have 3 children! No matter that most of his co-workers are Mexican with work visas, have difficulty speaking English and may have difficulty communicatig with GM's. In my opinion, companies like Angell are the PROBLEM, not the solution with what is happening to OUR COUNTRY today! Please help send a message to Angell Plumbing and take your business elsewhere.
