Got referred to Dr. Angell's office to determine if a root canal could save my tooth. The referring office explicitly instructed them to not do the root canal (to save money) if it was determined the crack was too deep to save the tooth. When the tooth was opened, it was determined it could not be saved. To my surprise, when I received the bill the office had charged $830 for the work. This is MORE than what another dentist would charge for a complete root canal. I already paid $275 up front during the visit while they also got compensated by my insurance. In speaking to Nancy (billing admin) about this, her demeanor soon turned sour and she ended up hanging up on me. This was extremely RUDE and UNPROFESSIONAL behavior.
