I feel sad for the person who wrote the first review, as I read it I felt she had a tremendously large chip on her shoulder & will never find peace or tranquility being so defensive. I've been to this store many times & I was asked similar questions (I am Polish) simply out of interest of the different races & ethnicities who enter the establishment, nothing else. I have been treated with the utmost respect & please keep in mind that sometimes miracles manifest in different way to different people & I take great joy knowing others have such incredible faith in them. It takes faith to believe they exist & to mock others interpretations means you have a lot of work to do on your soul, as do we all. What you should have done with the check situation is go in immediately & pay it in cash as well as cover the stopped payment fee, your bank would reimburse you if what happened truly was fraud. I buy a Magnificat almost every month & make the trip into Angel Kisses from Elgin instead of ordering a subscription just to get the heavenly feeling I get when I walk in to Angel Kisses, Michael even opened the store 5 minutes early because I was outside which was very nice. You get what you give in life from people especially, please keep that in mind. more

They say this place is a shrine. A shrine is The Virgen of Guadalupe in Des Plaines. You are not buying anything just praying and meditating and bringing flowers or anything even a special stone, a baby sock, anything like a photo. At this place a lady approached us and one of the first things she began to say was that there were Angel statues and Jesus Statues, and every Statue did something like cry or walk or turn colors. She also mentioned that you could buy one if you wanted to; everything was for sale. Then she asked me what nationality I was? I said I was Hispanic. She proceeded to ask if I was married and said because Jesus doesn't like it if your living in sin. Then she started to talk about gangs and gang members, Mexico. Suprisingly, shockingly, racially offensive. You are in a supposedly religious store where these things combined are happening. You couldn't even meditate because the woman kept talking. Well, I have to be honest I wrote a ck and had to freeze my account because someone unauthorized put through a fraudulent charge. I called and spoke to the store and told them what had happened and how I felt about my experience at the store and the owner's son Michael, the( lady was his mom ) turned in my returned ck to the BAD CHECK RESTITUTION and now for $41 dollars they are demanding $300.00. For an innocent thing I am dealing with people who claim they are CHRISTIAN and this is how they show it. I have called multiple times and they do not care. The principle is you know yourself if you have a faith in God and his miracles; miracles happen everyday not only at the store, not at the so called shrine Angel Kisses in St. Charles. They happen in homes, hospitals, all around the world with poor and rich. The shop is EXPENSIVE and blessings and miracles are free; that is the BEAUTY of Jesus. Whether you pray to Jesus, Mary, Guadalupe, the Saints they are all free. Thou shall not have false idols. I am really am disappointed I would have liked to have a good experience here but I didn't. It was one of the worst in my life. I do not wish this upon anyone else. Remember forgive people like this. The dad is a deacon supposedly; I just do not get it. more

Angel Kisses of St. Charles is a little piece of heaven on earth. Upon walking into this small, quaint, peaceful, and tranquil little shop in the basement of a house on Rte. 25 and Rte. 64 there is a physical and spiritual sense that there is a gift for anyone whether a child or an adult, alike. The atmosphere is heavenly. more
