Can't Recommend Andy's Transfer 1/3/2011

We recently did a move with Andy's Transfer & Storage from the Santa Clarita area to Bend, OR. We specifically chose Andy's from all the good reviews about them on movingscam.com. Unfortunately, this move was not the best for us, and I have to tell you we're something of authorities after doing about 29 residential moves in the last 30 years.\r Kent Delaney did the estimation. He was very detailed and painstakingly slow in his calculations and still under-estimated the load. It almost didn't fit on the truck. The load was large enough to take up the whole huge trailer and was driven up to Oregon by the same guys. Robert was our driver, Robert's Dad, and two helpers. It took them 11 hours to load (it was raining), and 2 days to drive it up to Oregon. Upon arrival, they were going to try to unload using only 3 guys (one being the Dad, who's way too old to be doing this kind of work.) We insisted that they hire two add. helpers to unload; thank God the driver finally listened and called tw more

Very professional - move from SoCal to NorCal 10/10/2006

Andy's transfer is highly regarded off of movingscam.com, a site that has everything you'd want to know about moving and the scams that can arise from such situations. After much research, we decided to get a quote from them -- Kent Delaney, their appraiser, was very professional and extremely detailed. He went in depth over every possible cost and detail. In the end, his estimate was spot on. \r \r Andy's Transfer contracts with NorthAmerican Vanlines, the guys who do the actual moving. I guess it depends sometimes who actually comes to do your move. In our case, we were luckily assigned to a driver named Feliciano -- and as his name implied, he was one of the nicest guys i've met -- always smiling and very gracious, you could tell he loved his job and was very good at it. He apparently worked up to the point where he owned his own vehicle (which is supposedly the best scenario for a mover) -- He took great care with our things and didn't break a single object.
