I have been going here since 1966. I finally met Andre a couple a years ago. Great spaghetti, and the meat sauce is wonderful. I now live in Las Vegas, I do make a occasional trip...

I have been going here since 1966. I finally met Andre a couple a years ago. Great spaghetti, and the meat sauce is wonderful. I now live in Las Vegas, I do make a occasional trip to L.A. now and then, since my sister lives in Hancock Park. I found a sauce at Trader Joes that duplicates Andres meat sauce! It is Traders Giotto's Bolognese sauce. more

THE GREATEST SPAGHETTI MEAT SAUCE 7/25/2006

Have been going to Andres since 1966. The meat sauce is the greatest. If anybody can get the recipe please e-mail me with it shftmar@yahoo.com.Now living in Laughlin, NV and call them for there meat sauce and salad dressing which they will send by mail. A true fan!!! more

Great place to get take-out 4/13/2006

Ever want to hold yourself up in a darkened house and curl up on the couch with your significant other slurping some spaghetti and meatballs? Stop by Andres. They make an awesome spaghetti with either meat sauce or marinara. Their cafeteria-style service is a bit weird, and it's not the most comfortable place to eat in. But their take out is superb. And the prices are very reasonable. They even have daily specials, like chicken parm or lasagne. more

Pasta/Salad/Pizza..OH MY! 4/13/2006

I'm surprised that nobody wrote an entry to this restaurant. I've been going to this small little restaurant across the street from the Grove and the Farmer's Market ever since I was a kid, and I have to say that the Spaghetti is really good. There's a long line for a reason and that's because the prices are really low for the large portion you get. You can get the half and half (ravioli and spaghetti) with a nice salad on the side. I'll be honest and say that I haven't ordered the pizza but the pasta will make you go back for more. more
