Village Family Practice is located in historic Cottage 20, the former men infirmary of the Traverse City State Hospital. Dr. Peggy Anderson has been practicing Family Medicine for over 27 years. In 2005 when she heard about the historic redevelopment underway at The Village, she eagerly jumped on board to be one of the first businesses located in the Historic properties. village family practice Dr. Anderson has practiced in a variety of settings over the years, from a large group and single partner practice to her current smaller, more personable solo practice. The small staff of two (Donna and Sandy) and herself, do all that is necessary to keep Village Family Practice in operation. Dr. Anderson believes she is able to provide better quality service to her patients by being involved in every aspect of the office and business. This characteristic of Village Family Practice, truly sets it apart as one of a kind. Dr. Anderson is a graduate from Michigan State University and is board certified in Family Practice. She is attracted to her line of work because of the variety she encounters from day to day; treating any type of ailment or disease for patients of all ages and genders. Dr. Anderson says the variety of diseases and conditions she treats keep her both engaged and alert in the ever-evolving medical field. Their flexibility is unique and accommodating to patient schedules. Dr. Anderson understands it is difficult to get off work early or take time out of school. With Dr. Anderson flexibility, knowledge and great personable service, she is maintained relationships with patients who have been with her since the very beginning. There are even families who have been loyal patients of hers through as many as three generations.
