Doesn't take time neccessary to care for your animal! 6/4/2013

I took my dog Paisley there multiple time due to the fact that they had good prices and I am a college student. The last time I took her, I wanted to get her back leg checked out because she was limping pretty often. Dr. Hendry told me there was nothing to worry about and they she was experiencing "growing pains." After 3 months of still limping I decided to get a second opinion. Turns out she had completely torn her ACL which is now going to cost me $2700. They do not take the time neccessary to care for your animal and answer you questions. Would not recommend them to anyone! more

Wonderful vets! 2/21/2012

Recommend NOT using Dr. Andersons 1/28/2010

Used Dr. Andersons vet services for over 3 years. Proved great with the common, every day checkups UNTIL my dog had a severe seizure and was forced to call upon them after hours twice. He didn't handle the situation at all like I expected. His nice, relaxed demeanor is great in normal circumstances but when you need someone to take "control' of a timely situation, I wouldn't recommend them. My dog had to have a second violent convulsion/seizure before he gave us anti-seizure meds and before he even believed it was a seizure to begin with. I had to remind the Vet myself that he needed to do a Pheno level check during our 2nd or 3rd visit (which he responded "Oh, yeah. I guess we do need to do that") I wouldn't recommend using them in any emergency or serious type situation. Soon after that episode, I switched to Dr. Saunders office in Avon Park. The difference is absolutely AMAZING. My new vet OFFERS ME information WITHOUT my even having to ask. He explains EVERYTHING thoroughly. I'm so glad I changed vets.. I'm just sorry it took something like this to make me realize I was going to the wrong vet.. more

Mixed Review 4/10/2006

I'm not sure how to rate Anderson Animal Clinic. I think old Doc Anderson does a fabulous job treating animals. He's patient, kind and understanding. I have a mentally ill nephew who has cats. He can be very hard to handle, especially when he's upset or irritated about something, as can happen when somebody has a sick animal. Doc is always great with my nephew and treats him with kindness and respect. He has always been very good about taking payments and/or working out a bill someone wasn't quite able to pay in full. Dr. Anderson has long provided a much-needed community service by offering very low spay and neuter fees. However, I am not as fond of his son-in-law who may be taking over the practice. more
