Reasonable, but not outstanding 8/14/2002

I took the word of the first few reviews that gave this Sherman Oaks eatery 10's and tried it for dinner (8/14/02). Perhaps my expectations were too high, but I found it to be only average. The chicken curry was very tasty, but the chicken and beef in two other dishes was rather dry and tough. The vegetables were fresh and crisp, though. The service was only passable. Dinner for three with two appetizers and one beer was $48.00 including tip, so it's not really inexpensive. All in all it was a reasonable meal, comparable to a number of other places, but I was disappointed after having read such glowing reviews. more
