I was searching for a dentist in Tucson and found An Elegant Smile. I scheduled an appointment via phone for a cleaning. I said I needed a cleaning several times during the phone conversation and was under the impression that is what I was going to the office for.
When I arrived I was greeted by a less than warm receptionist who asked for just my new patient papers, not my insurance. I was taken back where the doctor explained he would look at my tooth to make sure it was alright and then I could go`.
I stated that I was under the impression I was here for a cleaning and to make sure my toothache was not a cavity. The doctor did not apologize for the confusion nor was he sympathetic or accommodating. He said I would have to schedule another appointment for a consultation and then a third visit for a cleaning. He also said I would not be able to get an appointment for some time.
The receptionist treated me with the same demeanor. NO apology for the confusion and in fact accused me of getting my facts wrong. She said they NEVER schedule a cleaning on the first visit and they are ALWAYS more than clear on the phone.
Confusions happen all the time. I am not upset about the misunderstanding. I am upset that as the CUSTOMER, I received no apology and was TREATED AS THOUGH I WERE UNINTELLIGENT! Whether this was my understanding or not, THE CUSTOMER SHOULD ALWAYS BE TREATED WITH RESPECT! I was very disappointed in the customer service, or lack there of.
I WILL NOT RETURN AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS OFFICE TO ANYONE!
