Hi, everyone. I have great news. I'm in the process of trying to purchase the property and yes, I will reopen this great restaurant. If all goes as planned it will undergo renovation within 3 months and reopen for Labor Day . The renovation will include exterior and interiorr custom paint, landscaping, larger Patio with Plasma TV's with Direct-TV Access, Music system, Internet access, free deliveries and not to mention a Drive-thru. We will expand the menu by offering a wide variety of fresh home cooking food and adding "Lamb Gyro's" to name a few. Pros: Great home style cooked food Cons: not opening soon enough more

Unfortunately, Amy's has been closed for about 6 months now. No sign of it opening again. It is close to where we live. We went there once with a group of friends and it was good, especially the onion rings. I prefer it over Rick's actually. It's sad to see it go. I think they had a fire recently and never recovered from it. We hope to see it back someday. Pros: onion rings, convienence, parking Cons: ambience more

Best burgers in Pasadena EASILY 3/22/2007

This place has gigantic burgers that get all juicy and sloppy after a few bites, but what good meal doesn't get a little messy from time to time? The pastrami sandwich here is like a piece of heaven, and I don't even LIKE mustard, but something about that seasoned meat with mustard and pickles brings me back over and over and over. The fries are nice and crispy too, and the shakes there are extra thick. Yum! more

try the manager's special 3/11/2003

At a friend's insistence I tried the manager's special hamburger and was quite impressed. I'm not much for all the trimmings - onions, tomoatoes, pickles, avocados, dressing - on my burger. I prefer the slab of beef on a bun with cheese, bacon, and the taste of mustard. But Amy's manager's special is a delight for the mouth. The seating is often dirty and the place is almost always crowded. I've tried other things on Amy's menu, specifically the Mexican items and will stay away from them from now on. Try Amy's for the manager's special, otherwise go somewhere else. Pros: one great burger Cons: food is inconsistent more

Amy's has huge burgers, a bit messy, but that's alright. I recommend a chiliburger with a fried egg. Very Tasty. Nice crispy fries as well. Two people can share a small size. more

Neck and neck with Rick's 5/19/2002

If the line at Rick's is too long or the parking lot is full, cross the street and over a block or so to Amy's--good burgers, rings and fries at a reasonable price. more
