SLOW & OVERPRICED 10/15/2011

Dropped off 3 pair of jeans on Wednesday, 2 for a simple hem and one to replace a broken zipper. My mother sews and has done so for all of my life so I know how long it takes to do these very simple fixes. It is now 3 days later and my jeans still are not ready. Also, their prices are high compared to Anna's Alterations in Kenner, who by the way is AWESOME. Not sure if the hem job will be good or not but if it isn't their buying me new jeans! I learned it's worth the drive to Kenner....staying with my normal place...will not bring things back to Amy's. more

Great friendly service 9/20/2011

I found to workers at Amy's to be very friendly. The lady who was working the desk talked to me and made me feel very comfortable about the amount of my dress that had to be taken in. The dress came out great and fit perfectly! They also do very cute embroidery which I did not know until I went in there. I will be back. more

AWFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 10/30/2009

Do not do business here! I brought in a dress to get hemmed and all they did was cut the bottom of the dress, unevenly at that. They charged me $15.00 ($16.31 with tax). When I went in to get my money back for the messed up job they did, they refussed to do so. She said she would actually hem it for me instead (which should have been done from the start), however this would make the dress even shorter...she claimed putting a hem in the dress wouldn't make it shorter. (Uhhh, since when?!) Poor ownership... more
