My fiance chose to get his car fixed at Amwell Auto Body after he had a minor collision. He dropped his car off on August 1, 2011 with a level head after the mechanics said it would only take 8 days. The 8 days came and went and no phone call was made to my fiance as to the status of his vehicle. It wasn't until he called 3 weeks later that they informed him that they are ""waiting for a part"". Still, weeks passed and no word. He then called and was told that due to Hurricane Irene, the power was out and it was still not fixed. Yesterday, September 7, 2011 the manager informed him that it would be ready that night or the next day. Still no word from the shop. Tomorrow he plans on going in and leaving with his car, whether it be fixed or not. Regardless if they we waiting for a part or not, some form of communication should have been extended to the customer. We've both agreed that we are absolutely never doing business with Amwell Auto Body nor will we recommend them.
