Back in the days of grunge this was my idea of heaven. Great selection and very reasonably priced with a well organized layout and friendly staff. It may still be as it used to-- that if you were a nice young lady the male staff people might let a few things slip into the bag uncharged. :) more

Amvets got us ready for the party 4/2/2006

So another time some friends decided to throw a 70s party and my roommates and I needed some polyester attire. We hit it big at Amvets – they had this huge rack of 70s dresses, as if they knew we were coming. I bought the loveliest fuchsia polyester dress, complete with accordion pleats that zig-zagged at the bottom. We didn’t have time to wash them so we just sprayed them down with Lysol and let them air out for a while. We were the best dressed at the party. Thanks, Amvets! more
