... but it's the same ownership and menu as in Herndon. The Herndon location is newer and much nicer in terms of decor and atmosphere. Vienna does have its charms for being more of an established neighborhood institution, and you can tell that the patrons in Vienna have been coming for regular family meals forever. The more "authentic" food at Amphora is the way to go (e.g., the chicken souvlaki) vs. the regular menu items. The nightly dinner specials are reliably better than say, a standard burger & fries (which are frozen, not prepared fresh). For example, if they have the egg-lemon soup as a special, order it no matter what else you are having. It's fairly authentic Greek-style avgolemono soup. And yes, their breakfast dishes and desserts are very good. A perfect place for families with kids because of the atmosphere and the large/diverse menu.
