American Mission for Opening Churches (AMOC) is a non-denominational, independent, faith mission board dedicated to the task of establishing and strengthening local churches in needy and strategic locations across America. AMOC establishes local churches through the efforts of our church-planting missionaries, and strengthens local churches through the ministry and missionaries at Niagara Bible Conference and Camp.
At AMOC our vision and values are based on our allegiance to our Lord Jesus Christ and a sound exposition of God's Word. We believe in the power of prayer and share our Master's burden to evangelize the lost and disciple them to spiritual maturity. We believe that God wants us to be people of integrity by the way we lead our lives. Our leadership is built on the foundation of our Lord's example of practicing humble, servant leadership by putting others needs before our own.
The Niagara Bible Conference (NBC), an outreach from AMOC, is a year-round, high-impact, life-changing ministry. Our 35 acre modern facility is nestled on the shores of beautiful Lake Ontario where you can enjoy a variety of activities. Our desire is to encourage spiritual growth in individuals through our facilities and programs. We offer a variety of activities, housing options, and delicious meals for kids, teens, men, ladies, couples and families. NBC is available year round for all types of events from conferences to wedding receptions and youth group retreats to church picnics.
The Strategy of AMOC is fourfold:
Sending - The first phase of our strategy is sending missionaries, this involves recruitment, evaluation of recruits, training, missionary internships and deputation.
Starting - Next is the starting of new works in strategic locations across America.
Stabilizing - Another aspect of AMOC's strategy is to help stabilize struggling and declining churches. For over 60 years, AMOC has provided dozens of missionary pastors to assist and revitalize struggling ministries.
Strengthening - NBC complements the AMOC strategy of strengthening by ministering to local churches, pastors, and families in the western part of New York State.
