Amigo's Mexican Restaurant

A restaurant I frequent quite regularly has made some changes recently, and not for the better. Amigo's Mexican Restaurant on Eureka & Allen Road in Taylor has discontinued their free refills. I'm a 2 1/2 cupper and with those salty chips and spicy hot salsa it's difficult to keep to just one glass. I was told the last time that I dined there that business has been getting slow. And, what better way to lose more customers than to get rid of drink refills. Charge a little more for drinks, raise your prices a quarter, do what you have to do but don't lose those refills! I, for one, have found that the Amigo's, same name, different owner, on West Road in Woodhaven has the same great food, BETTER service and free refills on drinks. I know which one I'll be having lunch at from now on! more

I'm a huge fan of this place - I'm there at least once a week, if not more often! It's very kid friendly, has lunch specials everyday and the kids menu includes drinks with all meals! It's nice to have a you can go to with your family and spend around $20 or so + a tip and still be able to sit down for a meal without it being fast food! And, the chips and salsa are oh so good! The service is quick and friendly and you can be in and out of there in about 40 minutes! Time is always of an essese for me! I'd highly recommend this place to dine with family, friends or both! With their table set up, they can accommodate larger parties without too much trouble. more

Okay...good food...nice staff....low prices and FAMILY OWNED. CLEAN ATMOSPHERE! Taylor location has only improved since the move to Eureka and Allen Rd. They have a good variety...offer a childrens menu (that includes the drink) and are super quick. Oh' and did I mention they keep the chips and salsa comin while you wait! more
