ZERO stars is what I want to rate. Avoid this place at all cost!!! I had an experience with negligent work, causing damage to my car. They attempted to ""fix"" it twice both times failing to do it correctly, either willfully or out of incompetence. I eventually had to go to a different REAL mechanic, but there is still irreparable damage to my vehicle. more

I just had my VW Passat serviced at Amigo Tire and my visit there was once again very professional. I have been a customer at Amigo for many years and have never been disappointed w any of the work done on my vehicle! The staff is always nice and they are always there to accommodate your needs even on a Saturday which is a plus for my busy weekday schedule! Thank u Amigo! L Lepsch. more

I can't figure out some of the negative comments below. When I went to Amigo Tire the staff were friendly, the service excellent with good prices to boot. I went there because they were recommended by a good friend. I'm going to continue to use them for tires and servicing my car. Another plus is that it is a locally owned business and the owner really seems to care about his customers. I recommend it without reservations. more

A bunch of crooks and cheats! I took my car in to get serviced before going on a road trip. I emphasized my excitement for the trip, but also how well I wanted my car to run for the trip, which is why I was there. Long story short, they put my tires on backwards. During the road trip, my check engine light came on and my car was acting up, similar to when traction control is used, but I was driving on the highway!! I take the car back and they put the tires on correctly but after the trip the damage was done to the tread and the tires were displaying small cracks. The check engine light turned off after they fixed the tires and hasn't come on since. All the owner did was tell me that I ""must have put a batch of bad gasoline in my car that time which caused the engine light to turn on. But I didn't put new gas right when they fixed the problem so that's impossible. Still ""Eben"" stands behind that story. He also insisted that putting the tires on backwards is not only minimal, but he does that on purpose to his car when he is on the ""race track,"" as though they did me a favor. They first offered me a free alignment. The notes on the computer said that I was offered an alignment check. Then he insists that he caught me in a lie because the computer says alignment check and not alignment. He then went on to ask me ""where do you have money to take my car to a Toyota dealership from."" Obviously implying that I am not wealthy. The young lady at the front desk said that she had NEVER experienced the putting the tires on backwards on any car in the time she has worked there. ""Eben"" first stated that he would be mad too if someone made a mistake like that on his car and put his kids in danger. Yes I am a dad. But when I spoke to him today he said they did absolutely nothing wrong and owe me nothing. He was repeating himself a dozen times, just to make sure he was speaking over me. I left several messages on each number and wasn't called back for almost all of them. He said he didn't care what I had to say and that I was making it all up. A backwards tire is a backwards tire genius. They will use any loophole to leave you in the dust. They will insult your intelligence and get aggressive. They may even make reference to your financial being. But they WON'T lend an ear, any care, or solution to problems THEY created. They'd rather call you a liar. Let's see how long the new management lasts in this town. I drive a Toyota Avalon which is a great and smooth car, but since they got their hands on it, it has never driven as well. Don't Do it!!! more

I wondered if the new owners would continue Ken's friendly and kind service and the answer is YES. After blowing a tire late one night and needing to be at work early the next morning I dropped in hoping they would be able to fit me in. Eben was great, he took the time to ask about the type of driving I did, suggested several tires with explanation as to value. They also checked my car and gave me an estimate on additional work that is needed suggesting I run their estimate by Mike's Subabru, my regular mechanic. While my tires were being put on I had a fascinating coversation with Eben. Never had so much getting my car worked on before! I've lived in Santa Fe 25 years and been to several different tire/auto places in the past, I am a total fan now of Amigo. more

This is by far the WORST tire place in Santa Fe. To make a long story short Amigo tire put the wrong size tires on our vehicle. Two in the front were one size and two in the back were a completely different size. Come to find out neither were the correct size for our vehicle!!! The only way we found out is when our driveshaft and AWD unit went out on our vehicle causing $2500.00 worth of damage. The dealership asked us if we realized that we had the wrong tires on our vehicle... we of course were horrified and notified Amigo ASAP. To my surprise the owner, Eben, refused to compensate us for their negligence and damage. I would warn anyone in Santa Fe who is a customer to check to make sure the correct tires were put on their vehicle. This place is only out to rip people off to pay for their new building. more

I first visited Amigo Tire a few months back and recently returned for a new rim on my tire. I was promptly greeted and careful attention was paid to all four of my tires. I was provided excellent service and attention to detail (turns out I had two bent rims and not one!). \r I am far from my home town and don't have many local resources for things like this. Now I have some amigos on Cerrilios Road. I comend them for a job well done and for their fair pricing and friendly smiles. I trust and highly recommend the experts at Amigo Tire. You will be in very good hands! more

We have been Amigo customers for a decade. Not only is Amigo affordable, but they are very trustworthy and provide great service. The new owner, Eben, is doing a great job and we will continue to have our vehicles serviced there! We are excited for their relocation. more

Ken and the old crew were the best in town. The new owners of Amigo are crooks. I took my truck in for an alignment and they told me that they couldn't align it because my steering rack was shot. The quote to fix that was $1400. They told me that just the part was $900. I then took it to my regular mechanic at Toyotech and he told me that not only was my rack fine, but it had no effect on the alignment at all. To top it off he said that the Toyota part was only about $450 and the whole job should be $800 - $900. Since then I've heard stories from 3 other folks who had the exact same experience of these guys trying to sell them a repair or tires they didn't need. All of them also took their vehicles to their trusted mechanic for confirmation. Beware. more

If you buy tires from them you can swing by anytime to have their pressure checked or have them rotated. Pros: Quick, Flexible, Good deals Cons: none that I know of more
