Amici Italian Restaurant

We have been twice and doubt we will be back. Though the food tasted very good and the price was reasonable, the service was poor. We waited 10 minutes to get our drinks we were about to leave when a waitress came over. Our food was 30 minutes later with no salads or even bread. Our food when we did get it was delicious. We thought we would give a try to the take out and ordered Pizza. When we got there 20 minutes later we were told that they didn't have Pepperoni for our Pizza (you would think they would have told us this or called us back to let us know) We left and went to our favorite Pizza place in St. Augustine Borrillo's Pizza & Subs close to downtown. 88 San Marco Ave more

Having gone for my birthday this past summer, I found that my boyfriend couldn't have chosen a better local restaurant for the evening, especially considering that my favorite dish is chicken cacciatore. Theirs was delicious, and I finished everything on my plate, the vegetables and chicken truly seasoning each other without losing their distinct flavors. The atmosphere walks a fine line between corny and beautiful, coming off as whimsical, with an outdoor facade, inside. It was a beautiful, delicious candlelit meal and my boyfriend couldn't decide which dish he wanted more, which rarely happens. It is capable of hosting banquets, but feels very intimate as well. I couldn't imagine anyone coming away from this experience disappointed, as long as you enjoy fine Italian cuisine. It is also very near the beach so a sunset stroll could complete the evening. more
