Fish Fry is amazing!!! Great beer selection!! Great place to watch a Sabres Game!!! No better place to be on a Friday night, you can get the best Fish Fry in WNY, have a great beer, and watch the Sabres game in the next best place other than the HSBC!!! Pros: BEST FISH FRY IN TOWN!!! Cons: NONE!! more

One of the great parts of the Amherst Pizza and Ale House is Legend(wait for it)DARY bartender Darryl (formally of Alternative Brews) Talkative, funny, professional and always remembers names and drinks. It's Gotta be my favorite or top 3 pizza I have ever had! Toppings are loaded on, ample cheese, and the sauce is something special!!! You are doing yourself a dis-service if you do not go to the Ale House!!!! Pros: Best Pizza Cons: I wish I could eat more!!! more

Best Wings Hands Down!!! No One Compares!!!! 12/8/2009

Absolutely the best wings in Buffalo!!! Hands Down!!! my husband and I had a double order, and wish we had room for another!!! The wings were so good, but also so meaty!!! After dinner we went to the bar, and struck up a conversation with someone who goes there often. We told him about our dinner and he preceded to tell us about the wings!!!! The Char Pit Crown Royal BBQ wings won every contest they were entered in. 3 for 3. each was the overall peoples choice winner. each event had over 350 people voting. In the birthplace of wings, almost every place has very good wings. But if you win award after award for chicken wings in said birthplace, well they could be some of the best in the world!!!! We will be coming back every Friday just for these wings, and I am sure my husband will bring home some wings every once and while!!! Service was amazing!!! Ambience was great!!! Wish I would have known about this place sooner!!! Pros: BEST FREAKING WINGS!!! Cons: I cannot eat more of them or my stomach will burst more

Everything is absolutely amazing!!! From the HD TV's surrounding the place, to the food and the staff!!!! This is the place to be for a Sabres game if you can't be at the HSBC!!! Atmosphere is unreal!!!! The food, well, I am left speechless and always wanting to go back for more!!! The servings are so big, you will be taking some home with you to enjoy later!!! Best Wings in Buffalo by far!!! The sauces are unreal and the wings are plump and real!!!! I cannot wait to come back, this place is great for a family or if you are looking to go out with some friends!!! Pros: BEST PIZZA!!! BEST WINGS!!! BEST FOOD!!!! Cons: NOTHING!!!! more

Friendly waitstaff, fast bartender but the food was only mediocre. The appetizer was dip and chips from a bag. My fish fry was cold, but 2 others in my party got theirs steaming hot. On a Friday during Lent, no fish fry should be cold. The sides with the fish fry looked old. I left mine. I might go back for pizza probably not. Also, very loud with TV's and music and people talking over it all. Pros: Waitstaff and bartender Cons: Parking, noise more

Go for the Sabers GAME! 10/18/2008

1/2 price pizzas and pitchers of beer whenever there's a Saber game. My wife is from Buffalo and we never miss this place when the Sabers play. I hate Hockey and it's still worth the deal. more
