Want to bowl in Auburn? The AMF Auburn Lanes is your only option (until Spring of 2007). It is an older alley with 24 lanes and they do allow smoking with a snack shop that serves beer. So if you’re bringing kids I would recommend bring them before 6:00 pm. At six leagues are getting ready to start. They have leagues almost every night of the week. And every other Saturday during the day they have doubles no-tap tournaments. I recommend joining a league. The lanes themselves aren't always oiled and they are older. Sometimes the machines and pin setters aren't always working correctly. Also, be careful if using a softer ball, because you will receive battle wounds. Most of the staff is friendly and the managers, Andy and Gene, are always willing to help you if you have a problem. Also, a little known fact is that they have an appointment only pro-shop where you can have your ball drilled or cleaned and they offer a selection of balls for sale. For an appointment ask for Andy. Certain employees are a little slow which makes for a long wait in line to get shoes, but most of the shoes are in good condition when you finally get them. Also, there is air hockey and several arcade games to choose from.
Also, pool tables were mentioned in pervious reviews. They no longer have those.
