I have four cats, and my four cats are my children. I used to go to the ISU Vet Clinic, except I didn't like being overcharged and having every test in the books ran on my kids! I found The Pet Hospital and they have been wonderful. They are always patient with us, as we are probabely helicopter parents, and they are always so kind to our cats. I am in there at least every other month (if not more) and while they are always first looking after my cats, they also remember that I have a budget. I've also boarded my cats there overnight a few times, and they are very well taken care of. The facilities are very clean, it's a newer building, and I have no worries whenever I bring my pets in. I came to Ames Pet Hospital during a life threatening situation involving my female miniature daschund. By the time I got her to the office, I had no hope of being able to save her puppies. I just didn't want to loose my best friend. \r The skilled Vet staff at Ames Vet Hospital, having never treated my dog prior to this emergency, not only saved my baby girl. They also saved her babies. \r There is no way that I can express how grateful I am for, not only the skill and professionalism of the Vet staff, but also the compassion shown by everyone there.\r If you are looking for a clinic that will love your pet as much as you do, this is it. I have been taking my dogs to Ames Pet Hospital for 3 years now, and they've always been helpful and friendly. It doesn't matter what vet we see, they all do an excellent job of making sure my dogs are healthy. They called to keep me updated when my puppy was spayed and when she played too hard and messed her stitches up they fixed her without charging me for the follow up appointments. Great people!
