It's newer so not a lot out there about them yet. I was referred by our vet to try Ameridae because Baby has special care needs. She usually has tummy troubles due to car rides (vomits) and anxieties of separation from us (even if someone comes to care for her at home). After accidents on carpets when we left her with friends and family, I knew she needed to board. She is scared of vets office smell too but still needed that special attention. So I trusted my vet . I made a call to reserve just two nights to try it.. We needed to have a place for a longer trip over the Holiday later. She likes other dogs and people. My Baby is a good girl but obviously a bit nervous. We thought she was sweet but shy when we met her and that is what they told us when we adopted her. We fell in love despite her later discovered problems. I told vet that we had not had a good family vacation since we got her. I wondered if there was medicine to help because we really wanted to travel this year at Christmas. Because she already had meds, the vet didn't want to give her more unless absolutely needed and suggested I try Ameridae. Told me I'd probably have to leave a message because they didn't have a walkin office. Told me I had to have an appointment to be there too.\r I told Stacy my vet referred me (she asked me how I heard about them). Then she asked some more questions. The first phone call took a while but I liked that because when I was calling around, no other place had ever asked so much. I was pleased to discover that the owner and her kids have been caring for dogs since , as she put it, we could fill a food bowl. Her family raises and shows dogs. I told Stacy that other places, I always had to send canned food when we were gone before and especially if there is a thunderstorm because she gets really bad poo troubles. My Baby takes meds and has to eat. Since Baby has no allergies (one of Stacy's questions), Stacy asked if she could try some her some of her special homemade chicken and rice to add to her food. Stacy said it will work better so Baby would eat and had less chance of causing bad poo.. It worked! Stacy gave me her rice recipe too.\r Overall Baby did better here and seems more excited to see them each time. Now she eats well and though still her nervous self is relaxed enough to eat and have fun with Stacy and her family. Stacy even emailed me a few pictures showing her having fun and hanging out with the family. So happy to say that we actually went on a longer vacation and were able to actually relax and have fun as a family. I still called two times because it was the longest we have been away from Baby and Stacy called me back both times. Now that I am a client, I just phone my reservation on the machine and request confirmation call. It's so simple now and the hours for appointments are great. . It's a newer business and still building clients. I wrote this to say how special they are and as a big thank you for my Baby's care..\r Oh and I forgot to add that her training consultant gave me free advice (perk of being a client is free phone consult) to help Baby with car rides. She now still drools really bad but goes better in the car too. more

Happy Happy dog makes a happy happy me! I hadn't ever needed to board before so for me it felt similar to sending your firstborn off to college. At the beginning, truthfully a bit of worry. In my mind a kennel could look like a castle and offer my boy water in gold bowls but I wouldn't be able to have much fun away if worried about his care and whether he would have fun at a kennel. He can be a bit shy at times. Here he got personal playtime and exercise at no extra charge. So he can do his own thing and only plays with other dogs if he wants to for extra extra fun. THEN you pick up a happy dog and think this is great! With a little more freedom, I get to go have some extra extra fun of my own without the worry. It was different. There isn't an office so you have to leave a message if they don't answer (maybe busy playing with my dog) but it's worth the wait for the return call. Ameridae is ""A merry day"" for my boy! Great name fits. more
