The installation and scheduling went smooth, and I am happy with the product and the work done, however, the financial side of the transaction was extremely unprofessional. Because of the bank error, my check has bounced, so I immediatley provided my credit card info to American Windows instead to cover the downpayment. However, American Windows resubmit my check to the bank, AND charged the credit card for the downpayment amount. As a result, I was charged twice for the downpayment. I have no problem with American windows making this mistake, but it's not getting fixed for a while now. I first contacted the office about a month and a half ago regarding this issue, but still until today I am not reimbursed, even though they have admitted the error on their part. It's difficult to get a hold of people. Corporate sends you to local office, and local does not return calls when promised. I wasted a lot of time trying to reach accounting. When they finally call back, they promise to fix the problem, but it is still not fixed. This unprofessional treatment has spoiled the whole experience.
