So, my truck died...I had it towed to American Tire after explaining to them all that I had done to try and get it to start again. This is where the story turns interesting/good... They worked on my truck for around 8 hrs total over 2 days, testing and checking and trying to figure out what the problem was. I call them on the morning of the 2nd day and the gentleman whose been doing the work explains to me that the problem with my truck is beyond his expertise or that of anyone he knows, and he apologizes for not being able to help me. So I spend the next couple hours trying to figure out what to do. Around 1pm I go to this shop and tell him that I'm going to pull the truck up the road to the dealership and let them look at it. I then ask him how much I owe him for all the hours he spent working on my vehicle. This upstanding gentleman says ""there is no charge ma'm, you are no better off than when you came in here, I'm sorry I couldn't help you."" I even insisted that I pay him something and he would not take any money from me. I could not and am still having trouble believing that someone would be that generous and helpful. So, in repayment of this generosity, I am telling everyone I know about how wonderfully these people treated me. If you need any maintenance done on your vehicle (tires, oil change, tune ups, etc.), please call American Tire on Dorchester Rd. in North Charleston. I know it's out of the way for alot of people, but these guys will go out of their way to help you, and if they can't they won't lie to you about it.
Pros: Service, convience, comfortable waiting area
