Awful Cust Service-GINNY/RYAN 3/3/2010

Never EVER buy anything from American Furniture in Davenport, IA. I've had the worst customer service experience all over a cracked peice of furniture. I owe all my frustrations to Ginny and Ryan who should win the award of creating the most frustrating experiences ever, all over a faulty peice of wood. After speaking with Ginny in the store, she finally put her hands over her face and mumbled some stuff to which I can only assume was laced with profanity.... IN THE STORE. Then she told me that Ryan would call. After not hearing anything for a week, I called Ryan and explained the situation. He was apologetic, but apparently received his Cust. Serv training from Ginny. He promised all sorts of corrective action, but nothing has been done yet... not even a returned phonecall after 1 week and 3 messages. Go to Best Buy, Aaron's, even a garage sale if you need to purchase TV's or furniture. DON'T GO TO AMERICAN IN DAVENPORT, IA!!!! more

promises not kept and lies told 11/13/2008

ordered sofa, told to pick it up on tuesday. it didnt show up. waited. kept returning. no sofa. was pressured to pick out a different sofa, did not want another sofa. after several weeks and several visits demanded money back!\r \r another time ordered new fridge, paid outrageous fee for delivery, set date, they did not show, nor did they call. place is run by a bunch of thieves. more

Don't buy from American Furniture and Electronics 8/18/2007

We bought a $1500 GE range from American in Davenport, IA. After 8 months, it quit working. We got the worst run around I have ever experienced from them trying to get it fixed. I was on the phone constantly trying to get it resolved but nobody at American cared in the least. Would not return calls, servicemen didn't show up when promised, never had the right part or any part, appliance manager was no help, even their customer relations department would not return a call after we left a voicemail for them. After more than 3 months we finally called GE and they had it fixed in a week. I would not even buy AA batteries from American let alone another appliance. more
