American School Of Gymnastics

We started coming to ASG when my daughter was 2, based on recommendations from friends. I liked the routine and was impressed by the attention the teachers gave the students and the explanations I got for the reason behind each activity. (Preparation for future gymnastic moves, etc.) The tone of the classes was always calm and positive. After my son was born I REALLY appreciated the flexibility that was offered in being able to bring him along in his car seat to the toddler/parent classes with my daughter. We've been coming to classes and summer camp now for almost three years and, though our experience and what we're looking for may be different that those with older children, it has been wonderful for our family. I went to this gym to see if it was a good gym for my daughter. There were some girls doing big gymnastic skills and i thought hey the coaches must be good. Then i saw the rest of what they call the Spirits Team and they all looked so young.I figured they must be good since they were apart of the team so i watched them for a while. After watching them for like a half hour i realized they were horable so i went to other gyms to look around because i want my daughter to succeed as a gymnast and if she goes there she clearly will not go anywhere, especially since I saw the coaches ignoring the better girls and ONLY focusing on the younger ones. Pros: good level 8 gymnasts Cons: HORIBLE YOUNGER TEAM MEMBERS! more
