American Partners Federal Credit Union is a nonprofit, federally insured, financial institution that offers a variety of products and services to its members. Established in 1975 to serve employees of the American Tobacco Company, it merged in 1995 to include the Sears Piedmont Employees Federal Credit Union, resulting in a full service financial institution. Its products include checking and savings programs, pre-paid legal services, automobile loans and overdraft facilities. It offers members higher rates on savings accounts, lower rates on loans, financial counseling and specialized financial products such as Teen Corner and Kids Club to inculcate the savings habit. APFCU is located in Reidsville, N.C., with another branch at Greensboro, N.C.
