I traveled to the bay from LA to spend some quality time with my girl. I wanted a hotel that fit our mood and helped lift our diva-ness when we're out on the town. After much searching I accidentally stumbled on this place and looked around for rooms/rates/amenities. And there it was! Aaaah... The Victorian Sweet with a Jacuzzi in the room. What else do two divas need? It was perfect! more

Check out the penthouse 7/21/2010

I had room 407, a room that faces inward towards a cute little inner courtyard. The penthouse at the top might be worth checking out coz it has its own roof patio. more

Gourmet G explains it so well, so I won't even attempt. But I'll say this is one of the most memorable hotels you can find in downtown. It has so much appeal. Come on, it's not like a Hyatt or Hilton.. if you're a hotel connisseur you will understand the Nob Hill is ranked right up there. more

Beautiful clean Victorian-styled room. Large modern bathroom, modern facilities such as fridge, microwave, CD alarm clock, electronic keys, dresser. Nice staff. Free wifi from lobby reached the 4th floor most of the time. more

I highly recommend it for a romantic getaway... 7/12/2010

Lovely and romantic.. We went on a whim for a Tuesday night. rendezvous... stayed in the Penthouse Suite on the top floor. Everything about it was luxurious....We had a private roof top garden area, large corner jacuzzi (in the room), beautiful city views, huge bathroom with a double shower head and the bed was like falling asleep on a cloud... The penthouse suites insist romance whether you are there for that or night... the front desk was wonderful and friendly, even when I locked myself out of the suite and had to come down in my robe to get another key... I highly recommend it for a romantic getaway... more

Staff was personable and friendly 7/7/2010

Even though my honey & me got in a bit of a tiff as soon as we got there which pretty much ruined the whole thing I thought the room was beautiful. We were on the first floor with the garden and it was really sweet. The staff was so personable and friendly. Very quaint and romantic.. a cozy feel to it. A perfect place just to stay in and enjoy each others company especially when the fog rolls in. Each room is unique and very luxurious. Turn that jacuzzi on and pop the cork of a fine beverage and feel yourself melt away. Great place. more

My stepfather (who is a finicky meat snob) recently had the prime rib, and said it was so good he didn't have to season it, which is an enormous compliment from him. Their pasta (especially the risotto) is rich and delicious more

My parents LOVE this hotel!!! 6/30/2010

I live about 1.5 blocks from this hotel, and my parents stay here when they visit. They love it. It's cozy and adorable - beautiful Victorian architecture, ornate marble-floored lobby. The rooms are small (which is expected, given the building's age and history) but very clean and beautifully furnished. It is one of the few neighborhood hotels that pre-dates the 1906 fire. more

All Around Great!!! 6/24/2010

So lovely and quaint and romantic. My baby took me here for my birthday. We stayed in the Garden Suite. Yes, there's a little private garden patio that we had all to ourselves. It was furnished all beautifully and old-fashioned. The tub has jacuzzi jets and is large enough for two people to enjoy. The woman at the front desk was wonderful and friendly. They have complimentary wine tasting in the early evening. Oh, and they had a bottle of champagne waiting for us upon arrival. more

We have stayed here at least 3 times. Great deals, a nice atmosphere and great rooms (especially if you get the suites). It's close to Union Square and easy to get around. Highly recommend if in SF. more

WONDERFUL PLACE!!!!!!!!!!!! 6/20/2010

If you are looking for modern and plain, look somewhere else. This hotel is a wonderful step back to aother time of frill and fluff. Every concern or request was met with an immediate and positive response. (The hair dryer wasn't working...they brought another...we needed another blanket..no problem...) The resturant was very small but had wonderful service and great food. I don't know why others have been so unhappy. We were more than satisfied and have already reccomended this hotel to our family and friends. more
