I had American Home HVAC from Twin Lakes come out to service my air conditioner which was not working. The tech found a mice nest in the condensor. The tech stated this shorted the ""low voltage"" and needed to replace a board inside on my furnace. After a $350 new board with $65 labor and an additional $65 service call, it ended up being over $450. \r

When fall came around, my furnace wouldn't turn on. The tech told me that there was a problem with my two stage furnace (approximately two years old), and told me he was unable to fix it and I needed to contact the manufacturer for warranty information. I contacted another company who found that the American Home HVAC tech did not hook up the board correctly and had the oxygen sensor hooked up to the flame sensor. They also said that I was scammed and that I didn't need a new board, reconnecting any wires with wire connectors would have fixed the problem. \r

Buyer beware. I also couldn't find the alleged better business bureau accreditation on the bbb website through multiple searches of the company's name, and or HVAC in Wisconsin or northern Illinois area.
