American Heritage refuses to release my graduating daughter's academic transcripts, thereby preventing her from applying for admission to university.\r \r I have had 5 of my children attend the American Heritage since 2006. Now, in June 2012, after my daughter already graduated, the school has refused to release her transcripts, thereby preventing her from attending university, even though her tuition has been paid in full. Since, a balance remains on the tuition bills of her two younger brothers, American Heritage refuses to release her transcript unless and until the bills of her siblings are paid in full. I offered to pay the remaining balance for the two boys ($5,000) within 2 weeks, but the school business office in Delray Beach refuses to release my daughter's transcript. Instead, the school's business office sent me today a credit card authorization form, for the entire $5,000 balance, for immediate payment.   • American Academy, located in Delray Beach, Fla., is an institution designed to help students with average and gifted intelligence who are functioning below their grade level. In many cases, the students have mild to moderate learning disabilities. The academy offers small classes, and the student-teacher ratio is 12-to-1 for children in first through sixth grade. All teachers are certified to teach students with learning disabilities. The lower school students at the academy receive individualized instruction, and the academic curriculum is customized for the child's strengths and weaknesses. The students are also offered art, music, computer studies, investigative science and physical education. Additionally, they are offered drawing, painting, ceramics, drama, choral music and band classes.
