whoever is 206 C. should really think of what he is posting. In a bad economy it is hard enough to get work without someone trying to tarnish your reputation for the benefit of their own. Wow! I am so pleased with the service from American Heating. My wife and I recently moved here form New York and bought an older, rather large Seattle home. Half the house was heated by base boards. We received bids from four different companies to retrofit the heating system, in which two of them flat out said it would be impossible, instead suggesting radiant heat, giving us a bid of over $20,000. We were flabbergasted! The other two suggested installing two separate heating units, one in the attic and one in the basement, still estimating over $20,000. We finally found Pat with American Heating. He promptly came out and quoted us. With his expertise he saw a way of heating the house with one furnace. In his bid he included a heat pump, which we are so thankful for! The quote included the furnace, heat pump, all ducting, and a new touch screen thermostat. He was very flexible about methods of payment, and his bid was less than $12,000! Needless to say we went with American Heating. Pat did an excellent job. It's been over eight months and we haven't had any problems with our heat. We are so pleased to have found American heating, and would highly recommend them for all your heating and cooling needs. We were freezing with a new born and a toddler. We could not afford to wait a week to schedule with a salesman from those other companies. Pat showed on time and gave us an estimate that was unbelievably reasonable . When we agreed on a price, he said to us "payment upon completion and no money down". Wow! I used American Heating Company for our Home remodel. They installed an American Standard Furnace and Air Conditioner with All new duct work. I was very happy with how hard they worked and there price. They even worked till 8:00 on the final day to finish the job, so that my electrician could start the next day. My husband and I have been building a new house in Wallingford. We have previously remodeled a house in Queen Anne. During these endeavors, we have used MANY local contractors and subcontractors. Some have been excellent. Some have been horrendous. None have been as bad as Pat at American Heating. I believe Pat is a second generation owner of a previously well run business. His work has been awful, the products he installed (which he claimed were "top of the line") do not run properly and he has been absolutely rude. We have been on the verge of small claims court two times with him during this single project. He stole money from us to which he was not entitled. I simply cannot warn you enough against using American Heating. Now on the good side-We have worked with Lewis at Coast to Coast Painting Plus on a few occasions. He is EXCELLENT. He does the work when he says he will, his estimates are fair and he does superior work. Also EXCELLENT is Artisan Hardwood floors. We have had them refinish floors in our previous house and they are currently installing new floors. They are awesome! For plumbing, we used two good companies. I would recommend both (although neither was OUTSTANDING-I have high standards). Fox Plumbing did good work and had fair estimates (we had to call several times to get them to complete the job). Zoltan the Plumber was always on time and worked hard. We had a few miscommunications (I would say part of the problem was our general contractor who was not adequately supervising the job).
