I was going to use American Floral for my August 2004 wedding.. I went to a few open houses and the owner was very friendly.. he seemed to be willing to do just about anything you wanted for such a reasonable price.. so I booked him and gave a $200 (per him, fully refundable) deposit.. after a few weeks of open houses that i attended the vibe started to get bad, brides were extremely unhappy and he always seemed to have excuse after excuse, blaming the brides for everything that went wrong.. this did not sit well with me, a business owner should not be bad-mouthing their paying customers to other customers, that is just bad business practice.. I started worrying if I had made the right decision or not and in the end figured out that I had to cancel this florist, nothing with him was going right and it was down right scary just a month or so before my wedding.. I never did get my deposit of $200 back after asking numerous times and being promised.. but I finally just figured it not worth it.. I am surprised this company is still around because from what I hear the reputation is steadily getting worse.. just a bad business practice here!
