I love American Firewood! I live in the West Pace Ferry area of Atlanta and have been ordering with them for around 15-16 years. Usually around 1 cord and a half to 2 cords (winter we love to use the fire place and spring for BBQs). The delivery staff is always professional and polite, this goes back to win the owner delivered with his sons to the current delivery staff. Just order my first order of this year (Hickory) and they even gave me a few Barbeque Tips. more

Just got an order of the best firewood in Georgia! The guys who delivered were professional and very curteous. My order was even bigger than I expected. They stacked the wood exactly where I asked them to at no extra charge like all the other companies I called were asking especially that Todd Pate. I'm now enjoying a cozy fire. I have used this company before with the exception of the time I called someone for a lesser price. I got what I paid for that time. Unlike American Firewood the other company dumped my wood in the driveway. Did not stack it. American Firewood is definely my first and only choice from now on! Great service guys. I recently ran out of firewood that was left over from last season and called upon American Firewood Co for an order. I ordered a half cord of seasoned hardwood and was told delivery would be on Tuesday. I worked from home to receive it and they never showed. I was told they would come on Wednesday and they did not. They came on Thursday when I was not home. While delivering the wood, they drove on my property and damaged pathway paving stones leading to my backyard (I live in a residential neighborhood, not property you drive on. They took no responsibility for the damage they caused. I ordered a half cord and was given a stack that was 6' by 4' by 1.5' which equals 32 cubic feet, half of the 64 cubic feet ordered. When I called and asked why I was only delivered 32 cubic feet and not 64 (1/2 cord) was requested, I was told they sell an ""area cord"" and not the standard cord. Selling an ""area cord"" is against state regulations in GA, a regulation meant to protect consumers like myself. Nothing was mentioned of an ""area cord"" until they gave me less wood. It's been over a week and they still have not picked up their wood, so my wood holder is full while my truck remains full of wood I bought elsewhere. The wood they delivered was great wood, but expect completely unprofessional service and much less wood than ordered. These guys delivered great wood that burned well! They delivered it really fast and the guys that came to my house were very polite. They even stacked it not dumped it like some of those other guys do. Got their name from a friend who said they haven't used anyone else for twenty years. I won't use anyone else either! highly recommend this company. I called them at 6:30pm. By 8:00pm they DELIVERED & STACKED my half cord order for the same price others charged for just the firewood; delivery and stacking was always extra (sometimes up to $75 MORE) at other companies. American Firewood is not only the best value, these folks were friendly, curteous, and quick to deliver. Tip them generously, they certainly will earn it. I'm a customer for life. I would not recommend this company to anyone. There was no communication as to when the wood was going to be delivered. They just showed up, and had I not been home there is no telling what the outcome would be. The wood does not burn, not seasoned. I have taken a torch to this wood and it will not catch. I would call and request a new cord, but feel my time is better spent making other people aware of the quality this company provides. Do not use! I hardly EVER leave a bad review, as I think if you have nothing great to say. . .well you know. However, I called this company to deliver wood to me and they quoted me a price, which continued to go up when I told them I wanted the wood stacked behind my home. In any case, I decided to give them a try. They told me they would deliver the wood on Saturday, 5 days later. I agreed. Meanwhile Saturday comes and goes and no wood. I called 3 times on Saturday to ""confirm"" and see what was going on, only to get an answering machine. No calls today, which is Monday. This is an interesting work philosophy to me. They may have great wood. . .but then again, I wouldn't know! Pros: Have no idea Cons: Poor business practices more

These guys are great. They will deliver and stack your wood where you want it for the price that most people will charge to just dump it in your driveway! more

Be weary of using American Firewood. Ordered a cord of wood for $250 dollars. Only a half was delivered at $150. Called them to address the situation and was never called back. Once we ran out, I ordered more because the first batch was pretty good wood. Made sure that I was there when they delivered to be sure that we got a full cord. We did get a full cord but got a full cord of unseasoned wood. So now, anytime that I make a fire, I get a smoldering pile of wood. Called them again and was told that they would fix the situtation. Never heard back from them. Would not use. more
