Unbelievable. After 4 no show/late showings to either sell, measure, or install the windows, the final straw was when they did come to install, told us they don't move blinds and that they had ""better things to do"" and left, despite being scheduled to do our install for the whole day. We called to cancel, he offered to take $400 off the $3700 install (for 5 windows...), canceled anyways. Within 2 business days we had a letter from their lawyer seeking $3200 for lost fees and such. We agreed to mediate; however, after they noticed we submitted a case to the BBB, they reneged on that saying we had no right to submit anything to the BBB. After spending over $1000 on our lawyer, 3 months of back and forth, we finally settled to pay for the windows only (and an extra $1000 holding fee for windows...). After all of that unprofessionalism, we hire someone else to install the windows and of course, the measurements are wrong and he has to do major modifications to get them to work.\r \r Hard sale, completely unprofessional, with absolutely NO concept of customer service. If you try to do anything they don't want, look for a letter from their lawyer as they instructed me, this is their only way to handle it. The worst experience of my life. DO NOT even answer the door if they come knocking more

I purchased part of my windows in 2009 from American Exteriors to replace my 1950?s wood windows. The old wood windows were cracked, locks broken and completely none energy efficient. After purchasing my first set of six windows to get the front side of my home done I loved them so much in 2010 I purchased two more and a patio door. I noticed my energy bills go down immediately, less noise, no drafts through my house and I felt more secure with strong vinyl windows that lock. I highly recommend not only American Exteriors to anyone in need of windows but the quality of their custom made windows is truly superior. The people are great to work with and the product is top notch. more

Went to local home & garden show looking for replacement windows. Set up appointment with salesperson, they ended up being late. Then the meeting that was supposed to last an hour lasted 3 hours & the salesman Mikal used high pressure sales tactics & said we could not have the deal unless we signed that night (at 10 pm). I prefer to sleep on things, but he would not even let me decide in the morning. The quote for 10 windows was over $9,000 or around $6,000 if we signed immediately. I was not impressed.
