This place is a joke. I was tricked through their Craigslist ad, thinking this was a job opening. After going all the way to Queens for my ""job interview"", I quickly realized that was not the case. After being (foolishly) persuaded by the manager (?), Brian, I signed up for it.
The ""teacher"" does not seem qualified at all, and he has no structure in his ""lessons"". It felt like a complete rip-off and he was not about actually teaching the students anything thoroughly. To me, it seemed like he spent more time talking complete BS.
After taking the 8 hour class (which was really 6 hours), I tried the job line, even though it felt like I hadn?t learned anything. They sent me to a restaurant in Brooklyn... Which didn?t even exist (!!??)
I got fed up, and I know it?s not easy to find a bartending job in NYC without experience. Frankly, it?s almost impossible. I signed up for a more serious, and yes, more expensive, bartending school, where they help you write your resume etc.
PLEASE, AVOID THIS PLACE! It?s 200$ down the drain.
