I lucked out finding Chad Westover by simply doing a Google search for a painter in Portland. Chad was able to respond to a very tight turnaround. I was moving into a home with a small window of time to completely repaint the interior, which had been painted a deep, dark purple by the previous occupants. Not only did Chad spend extra time after hours to inspect the house, he was able to take a look even before I had possession of the house. He consulted with me and I felt comfortable with the bid, which I know was competitively priced because I received other quotes. Chad arrived with a crew, worked extra hours, and did not charge me extra for new things they encountered along the way. They were on time, on budget, they even came back to make sure I was satisfied. I then found out about some of their other services, and I have since hired Americhoice Contractors for other jobs. And I have recommended Americhoice Contractors several times to friends and family, who have raved about them. Chad is now a trusted, valued friend and adviser. If he cannot do the job, he will point you in the right direction. He is committed to quality, and he makes sure the job is done right. He has redone the steps to my house, worked on the gutters, and he has provided roof clearing service for me and several of my neitgbors. Americhoice Contractors has done a lot of work for me. They came over to paint my house, and found out that the person who had installed my windows previously had done it wrong. The windows leaked. Chad found a contractor to fix it. All 23 of my windows had to be taken out and redone. Chad just charged the labor cost and did not charge for anything else. So of course the painting job cost more money than originally thought, but no where near as much as it could have. I have now used Americhoice Contractors for about a year and a half. After the window incident, and seeing how Chad took charge of the situation, it is going to be hard for me to have a different contractor in here. I have had so many contractors that do jobs incorrectly and waste money. Chad does it right, and he talks to the homeowner and educates them so that everyone is on the same page. When he comes across a problem, like the windows leaking, he actually shows me what the issue is. Chad is a trustworthy guy. Not just on the work he has done, but if I have any questions or thought about things in the house, or remodeling, I can discuss it with him. He will give me a better idea of what is going on. It has become more of a relationship than just a contractor. more
