This place has really gone down hill. Don't go. Service is really bad. The cook has no sense of timing. Most of us finished before the last plate arrived. The food was nothing like it used to be. I complained to the manager/owner who didn't even apoligize. Satisfying the customer is the last thing on Amel's menu. Spread the word - this place is horrible. more

Have been long time customers and Amel's was on of our favorite restaurants but some of our favorite meals are not what they used to be. more

My favortie local restaurant 6/3/2008

When asked every year where I want to go for my birthday, I always pick Amel's. I've tried a few of their dishes (Alladdin pasta is out of this world) but most times I stick to sharing a few appetizers. The stuffed grape leaves, She Crab soup, hummus or the Amel's salad with lemon mint dressing and feta. My husband usually gets the gyro platter or the shis kabobs. I haven't had a bad meal. The atmosphere is casual and the staff is friendly. If you like greek food (or even if it's your first time trying it) Amel's is a must! Pros: Wonderful food Cons: can be pricy depending on items ordered more

Horrible 10/31/2007

I generally don't do this kind of review but this place was awful. I will NOT be going back! The food was way too spicy and undercooked. Blech! more

Large Variety, Unique Decor, Delicious Food 10/4/2007

I went to Amels twice. The first time the chicken I had was dry but my cousin and aunt first word when they bit into their food was ummmm yummm and that continued.The second time i got chicken asiago which was delicious. I would have liked to have more mushrooms but i ate the whole thing. And both times i went for an appetizer we had spinach and articoke dip which was excellent.The pita bread they give in the begginning of the meal is warm and yummy. I suggest Amels ( at least once) even if greek isn't your fortay you will find something you enjoy. = ) Pros: Good food, nice decor,great wait staff Cons: small, seems that food maybe made different with different chefs more

Food is good, but a little pricey 3/9/2006

Ate here for the first time. Its supposed to specialize in middle eastern but I was disappointed by the lack of mid east dishes. I ordered hummus for an appetizer and it was delicious. My main course was the qyro platter which was the best value at $7.95. My boyfriend ordered spaghetti with pepperoni. He said it was good but it was pricey at $14.95. They need to add more mid east dishes and lower the price on some items. Pros: great service Cons: pricey more
