Ambrosia Glassworks

I looked over the internet for someone to make a leaded glass transom for over an interior door. Found Ambrosia Glassworks, and was so impressed right from the start. They sent me suggested customized versions of their online designs in response to my first inquiry, and Bill was tremendously helpful and friendly throughout, even though the project was not a very big one. He made suggestions on the glass to use and the design, and all via email. (I'm in New York; Ambrosia is in California). The transom was made quickly, was not expensive, and was shipped perfectly. It was precisely the right size, and now that its installed in my newly-renovated kitchen, it looks fabulous. I new what I wanted and I thought I knew how it would look when it was done. But "Wow", after it was all finished I could not stop looking. Every so often while my husband and I are watching TV, I will rubber neck over the couch to look at the glass. I leave the lights on in the bathroom so it makes the glass sparkle when I look at it. I sound like a kid with a new toy. Bill and his wife Stephanie are very respectful and sweet young people. I highly recommend their company for stained glass. P.S. Whatever you do, ask to see thier imported glass jewel collection. They are like sprinkles on the cup cake. more

Thanks guys for the incredible work. When they said they have a "Door Makeover" program, they weren't kidding. My Husband and I loved the computerized pictures of the before and after. I still don't understand how they did it but it really helped us see the project before it happened. Everybody who's been to the house before the new leaded glass was put in, really can't believe how good the old solid wood doors look after they've been remodeled. The savings was helpful especially on our budget compared to what a set of new leaded glass doors would have cost us, not to mention the installation cost. more
