Amber Crest Custom Winery

I recently visited Amber Crest with my wife and six of our friends to experience wine making. We had an absolutely incredible time! The process took a couple of visits, first to start the process and then we went back a number of weeks later to bottle and cork ""our wine"". The owner Mark Adams helped us through every stage and it was evident that he is a pro. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a group event, as this will be something that you can cherish for a long long time and an experience that is even better with friends. Several of my friends and I went to bottle our own wine on a Saturday afternoon. I recommend you go with a small group (we had 8 and i think that was perfect) becuase you all have to agree on one wine. There were many varieties - from the very light and fruity, to full bodied, spicy reds. Mark poured serveral different types and kept pouring until we all agreed on a favorite. The wine making was really neat - to see all the ingredients that go into the process was priceless. We'll go back in about 8 weeks to bottle. There were a few wines that we liked that we were able to buy on the spot - so that was plus. Mark took his time with us and was very personable. We also saw a bridal shower of women enjoying wine and snacks. Can't wait to go back and take home our own bottles.
