Superb as usual, the food was delicious and fresh. The only real downside is ordering too much and confusing who wanted what dish! Delivery is prompt as well, usually on the early side of the estimate if not earlier. This is my go-to GrubHub ordering location for Woburn, for obvious reasons. more

Went to the particular restaurant one day and got one menu item wrapped in a dough. Brought it home and found a large cockroach cooked in the food. Went to let management know and GM got very defensive and would not accept the fact. Never mind the horrible experience of the cockroach in the food, put poor management to back it up. This Indian restaurant is over-priced and the food is not very good. I ate dinner twice and was unimpressed. I had dahi vada on both nights and it was reasonable but outrageously expensive at $8 for three vadas. This restaurant is owned by gujaratis and they offer south Indian dishes as well but do not know how to cook south Indian food. I had utappam [$10] the first night and masala dosa [$12] the next. They were supposed to give sambhar with both dishes but what they really gave was gujarati dal dressed up as sambhar [too sweet]. The coconut chutney was GREEN !!! And way too sweet and completely inedible. I went early at 5:15 pm both nights so there was only one other party the first night and no one else the next night. Owner is friendly enough but that does not make the food taste any better. If you go, order only gujarati food; hopefully that is better than their south Indian food. Really horrible restaurant!! If you care about your stomach and value for your money then you should definitely stay away from this dingy place! The food was tasteless and the worst Indian food that we have tasted so far in the US (and we have been to several Indian restaurants in various states in the country). The ambiance was pathetic and distasteful..music was really loud with lousy furniture..the place was very cramped and dark.. To cap it all, the service was soo subpar that I cant even begin to describe it..it was slow, lack of attention to basic things, total disregard for customer service and the owner and staff members were extremely rude!! cant imagine how they are still in business till now..somebody please teach them the basics about customer service.. I am really regretting my visit to this yucky place and would definitely recommend NOT venturing anywhere near this scary dingy place..bad ambiance, worse food and worst customer service ever!!!!!!!!!!!It really gives a bad name to the Indian cuisine.. My new husband LOVES Indian food and because of the other positive reviews on this website, we met with the owner and manager of this restaurant and hired them to cater our December 2008 wedding. Aside from the dishes being much spicier than promised and others substituted without our permission (problematic because we ordered dishes with knowledge of having children and older adults with health concerns in mind), our biggest problem was in being cheated by the owner with the disposition of the remaining food. more

I have been coming to Boston for countless years and never leave without making a trip to this great restaurant! Whether it is for their plentiful lunch buffets or delicious dinners, I always leave content and amazed by their quality of food, speed, and caring attitude. The manager is very accommodating and always ensures that the meal is going smoothly. I have tried majority of their popular dishes, esp the vegetarian ones and would highly recommend the chicken tikka masala. Being a New Jersey native, I have tried countless Indian restaurants but this one has to top them all!! A def must-visit! I was blown away by this restaurant. I live in New York City, so I've eaten at a wide range of restaurants, including Indian places. I have never experienced a restaurant with such welcoming, personal service and food that I could not stop eating! When I was in the Boston area, I made a trip specifically to eat at this restaurant and it was WELL WORTH MY TRIP!!! The food was authentic, very high quality and reasonably priced. Their lunch buffet and catering service is very popular and for good reason. I would highly recommend this place for those who love a friendly and not so costly place. I've been to this restaurant many times and every time I have gotten great service, delicious food, and I just love the atmosphere. The staff is very friendly and cordial. I have tried many different dishes like Chicken Tikka Masala, Bhindi, and several different Naans (breads). I have never been disappointed. It's always a great place to bring groups of people. I've been there with a handful of friends and we absolutely enjoyed ourselves while drinking their famous mango lassis. I would recommend this restaurant to everyone. I give it 2 thumbs up!!! I went here for dinner with my family and we really enjoyed it. The manager was extremely nice and the service was impeccable. We order the veg platter which was delcious and then for the main course got chicken tikka masala, palak panner, shrimp vindaloo and malay kofta. All were exquisite. I have never had chicken tikka masala that was that delicious and I have been to many a indian cuisine. This is an extraordinary place and the staff make the experience memorable. I have been living around the greater Boston area for a very long time and have tried the food at many Indian restaurants. Ambassador is truly an extraordinary restaurant. Everything from the service, food and atmosphere is great. I went on a Friday night when it was relatively busy, and yet they managed to bring the food in a timely fashion. The taste of the dishes is exquisite. I would highly recommend the tandoori platter as well as their chicken tikka masala. Their lamb dishes are also quite good, especially the lamb vindaloo for people that enjoy a bit of spice. The manager is extremely friendly and came to check on us a couple of times during the night. I have been there a few times now and am looking forward to bringing all of my friends for the end of summer party.
