Absolutely Yummy 9/3/2008

I've been visiting this restaurant for a couple of years now, and they never dissappoint! I love Persian kabobs, but these are even better! Some of their beef kabobs are spicy, and their chicken mushroom stew is delicious. Portions are good, and their selection is great. Pros: great food, easy parking more

MMMMMMmmmmmmmm... 8/31/2008

So, hidden amongst other huge restaurants was this little thing calling itself the ""Kabob House"". So I went in there half expecting a low-class fast food type of a thing. Boy was I in for a suprise. Walking in, I was greeted by a warm hello (an older lady, seeming to be by herself, as it was a tuesday). I soon relaized it was a full-service restaurant. I myself am married to a Pakistani husband, so I asked if it was Halal (Zabihah), she assured me it was and even said that there was a certificate on the wall, but I believed her. So soon enough, there was a glowing XL Pizza Size Garlic Naan staring me down on my table. I was kind of in a shock, because us Pakis are used to small roti naans. I gobbled that down with an order of their spicy samosas (potato and vegetables fried inside a crisy pastry). This I knew, because I always make, seemed authentic. SO, continuing, I had a falafel pita sandwich on whole wheat. I asked for it (it is an extra dollar more, but duh, I mean whole wheat is always more expensive, so its ok). The falafels were crispy and delicious. As person on yelp said, the pita does tend to rip, but I mean its not their fault, its probably made by another company. By the way, I found out that lady was the owner, and she was extremely helpful and NICE...dunno wat the other yelper on yelp was on when she visited...So overall, gr8 place HIGHLY RECOMMEND it! more

Best Mediterranean food 8/16/2008

I just went to Amazing Kabob House and the food was awesome. I went with my partner and we shared our orders. Everything was seasoned perfectly, and tha Naan was amazing. I wish I could remember the name of our dishes, but my partner ordered a chicken kabob which was extremely tender and flavorful and I ordered some kind of beef patty made with tomatoes, herbs, and spices. The beef patties were one of the best things I've ever tasted. The atmosphere was very nice, and the service was great. I thought the prices were a little high when I saw the menu, but it was well worth the price. The owner was very friendly, and came to our table several times to make sure that we were enjoying our meal. Pros: Great food and service more

Delicious Naan 8/16/2008

We were looking for a new place to eat and thought we would give this place in Brea a try. WOW!!! what a pleasant suprise. The atmosphere is warm and comfortable. The owner is a delight and the food is truly amazing. The garlic naan is the best I have ever had, absolutely delicious. We ordered the Chaplee and Chicken Kabob, both were fantastic! The food is very flavorful, the portions are abundant, the prices are reasonable for the quality and quanity of the food. Everybody who likes Mediterranean food should give this little place a try you won't be sorry! The Amazing Kabob House is one of the restaurants we now frequent. We eat out often and this place is on the top of the list. It is nice to have a new place to dine. Pros: The food is amazing Cons: a bit of drive from my home, but worth every mile even at $4 a gallon for gas so I guess there are no cons! more

Authentic Mediterranean Food 8/11/2008

I found this place a couple of months ago, and have been back 4 times. I am half Lebanese, so can appreciate the authenticity of this place. The appetizer plate has a little of everything and can be shared; the garlic naan is the best I have ever tasted. All the meat is delicious. A MUST if you are in the Brea area, and well worth the drive if you're not! more

Kabob Central 7/20/2008

I came across this place one Sunday night with some friends. Definitely did not imagine this place next to the customary chinese restaurant, sandwhich shop, and mexican restaurant. Good addition to the group though! Cute little restaurant! Excellent service and the food was awesome. The portion size was good enough for two. Hefty size kabob and rice for a whole family on your plate. The price was not too bad either. A perfect place to go when you want to try something different and have a good appetite. Try it out, you won't be dissapointed! Pros: Professional staff, very clean, great service more

Fabulous Middle Eastern quisine 7/17/2008

Walking into this restaurant, you will never guess that it is located in a stripmall in Brea. It is very clean, simply decorated and the ambience is friendly. The owner of the restaurant is warm and personable, and is quick to offer any information about the menu and the quisine. The menu focuses on traditional Afghan cuisine, but also offers various Mediteranean dishes. more

Best falafel anywhere! 7/15/2008

Truly amazing cuisine. Authentic flavor, great service, quaint atmosphere. My husband and I discovered this place about 6 months ago and we can't get enough! We bring all of our friends and family. My husband is lebanese and is amazed by the way the flavors take him right back to Lebanon. We can't say enough about the food, prices and service. You have got to go there! more

Great Mediterranean food 6/25/2008

Great mediterranean food in whole orange county. Nice ambience, clean restaurant and good service. Do not forget to order their Nan , I was amazed by its size and they only charge 1.99. You get 1/4th size of Nan in Indian restaurants at this price. I am a big fan of falafel and they were fantastic. Not much oily, fresh and crisp. Strongly recommend people to go here and enjoy their food. Pros: Ambience, ample parking, good service more

The Best Of The Best In Mediterranean Cuisine in Orange County! 6/16/2008

With out a doubt if you're thinking about a truly great Mediterranean Cuisine experience the Amazing Kabob House located at 2445 East Imperiel Highway in Brea, California is the place you have to go! Start with the Appetizer Sample which is enough food for a group of four! Order the Garlic Naan to eat with the sampler! Also the Yogurt Yog is amazing as well. I had the lamb and it was a succulent and tender experience as the subtle seasoning just dances on your pallet! Finish it up with a double shot Turkish Coffee and Baklava! Then call the tow truck to help you off the table! Just truly amazing food and a treat you really shouldn't pass up! With that said, a great meal is accompanied by great and attentive service. The owner greets you at the door and makes you feel very welcomed as she talks about her restaurant and the items on the menu. The place is extremely clean right down to the rest rooms with no odors or unwanted antiseptic smells that could ruin an otherwise great meal. To sum it all up the Amazing Kabob House is just what the title says, Amazing! You have to go to this place!!! Pros: Thumbs way up! Cons: None!!!!!! more

Literally AMAZING Meditterranean Food 6/3/2008

Although the price is a little higher than most Casual Restaurants it is well worth it in this nicely decorated and comfortable Meditteranean restaurant. I had the Chicken Kabob meal and not only was it amazing tender but it had that certain taste that left me craving more... even though the portion size was excellent. I have already recommended this place to all of my friends and family in the Brea/Yorba Linda/placentia area and I recommend it to you as well. Pros: Great Decor and Ambience. Awesome Food Cons: Semi-Expensive more

Best Mediterranean and More IN ALL OF OC! HEED THIS REVIEW!! 6/2/2008

\r This will be a short but sweet review. This quickly became mine and my husband's favorite mediterranean restaurant practically over night. We already love kabob, so we are always looking for a closer resturant that lives up to the dish, and much more. Imagine our surprise when this place not only did so, but we ended up adoring the Mushroom Chicken Curry stew even more on the menu!! Infact, we are so addicted to it, we won't order any other item, try as we might.\r The lighting and colors of the establishment are so comfy and warm, with a great welcoming staff-especially the owner. She is lovely and is always so personable to us. Not at all your chain restaurant feel, as it's a classy independent eating spot.\r It is extremely fresh so you may wait a few minutes more than another similar restaurant...but it is WORTH every minute you wait, because as soon as you taste it, you will be in heaven. \r The garlic naan bread is perfection, and every flavor of the dish we usually order is tender, flavorful and make us allllways wish we knew their recipes at home. Always.\r Keep this wonderful OC secret alive-go to the Amazing Kabob House To-Day!\r PROS: AMAZING food\r CONS: That I can't have a larger belly to eat twice as much!\r more

Best home made mediterranean food in town 5/21/2008

If you enjoy, or looking for some great Mediterranean food, I found the Kabob House. Its obvious the food is made from scratch to give it that home made cooking taste. I went there for my girlfriends birthday and she absolutely loved it. Make sure to get the assorted appetizer to start off with! The prices are great and you get more than enough food. more

Truly Amazing 5/16/2008

I walked into the Kabob House for the first time guessing at what might be on the menu. Just looking for some place I hadn't tried before. Boy was I in for a treat! Mediteranean wasn't a food choice I was too familiar with, but after tasting the Filet Mignon Kabob with Potato Lentil soup I have become a die hard fan of this fine cuisine. I was greeted with friendly faces, and a very warm welcome. I have now been to the Amazing Kabob House a dozen times and I ALWAYS get the same hospitable service. It is nice to walk into a restaurant and feel right at home. The Kabob House is always clean, and the food is always delicious. It has also become a favorite spot for two of my pickiest eaters. The Amazing Kabob House is a great place for a quiet dinner for two, or the entire family. I only wish I could stop by more often. more

Very authentic 5/13/2008

This restaurant had the most delicious and authentic mediterranean fare ever. However, it was not too out there...The seating was promt with a kind smile and an easy-going yet proper tone. The waitress was very helpful and actually quite enjoyable. The menu was thorough and had every last item I wished for. The prices were fair considering that the restaurant is on the mid to higher end of the fancy scale. Yet, it also had the family coziness as many of the other tables in the restaurants were; with children vigorously coloring away on some fun sheets provided (probably to keep them quiet, which was great). And yet, the restaurant managed to pull off a still romantic vibe with wine and champagne ready and chilled. I, myself brought a date to impress. Half-hoping that she was into me and half-hoping that she digged the ""amazing"" hospitality. Ok, one note I have to give is that the restrooms were one of the most beautiful and clean I have ever stepped into with a clean aroma and wonderful stone sink and boldly painted walls. Pros: Ummm...everything! Cons: Little pinch in wallet, but not with those coupons! more

Best authentic middle eastern food around 3/26/2008

This is place was discovered for us about a year ago and we keep coming back. Its so refreshing to actually eat good quality and healthy food outside your home. The taste will have you coming back for more. The inside is decorated and the place its self is very very clean. The service is great as well. more

Best Mediterranean food in the OC, period. 3/25/2008

My fiance and I eat here at least once or twice a month because the food is to die for! He always orders the steak kabob, I get the salmon and we always start our meal off battling over the delicious hummus and garlic naan (which is so good that it could be a meal in itself). My picky little one-year-old loves sharing the salmon kabob with me and the greatest thing is that the staff is always so warm and welcoming - it almost feels like we're eating with family rather than at a restaurant. I highly recommend this place even to those with the most refined palate. Pros: Fresh food, quick service, casual atmosphere, coupons in the local mag. more

Best Mediterranean food around . 3/8/2008

We've been to the Mediterranean and the middle East so we know REAL Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food when we taste it - and this place is the real thing!! We eat here at least once a week and we've brought all our friends and family members - everyone loves it. The meat is so flavorful and tender that you don't need a knife to cut it. The rice is out of this world and all the side dishes and appetizers are to die for!! We highly recommend this restaurant. more
