Amans Indian Cuisine 10/25/2010

Have been going to Amans last few yrs. Never had a disappointing meals. Staff is always there to please. Will change any dish free if you do not like it. Chicken Tikka Masala and their Kormas are just yummy. A vegan or vegetarian can order with sitan or wheat protein. Busy time a lil slow but that is expected. Just love Amans and hope they keep doing well. more

Weird Meat 2/3/2010

Ordered : - Seekh Kabab appetizer : looked and tasted like the meat had been sitting on the counter for a while (dried up side almost impossible to eat) - Chicken Tikka Masala : sauce was good (ordered very spicy and got it that way) but chicken morsels were either very tough or very soft. - Paneer Naan : very good Overall not a pleasant experience, I won't be back. Pros: Service Cons: Food more

great place 12/5/2009

food in retaurant is excellant, nice ambiance and courtious waiters. overall service in rstaurant is very good. I have had very bad experience catering food from this place. We had agreed upon price and the kind of food we wanted. Some of the food did not even came. Owner Baldev, thinks he is always right. if he continues like that he will loose business. I talked to several of my friends who have catered food from this place and their response is also the same. they also had similar experiance as mine. Pros: food is good in restaurant Cons: catering from this place sucks. more

Best Indian food around..... 8/21/2009

Indian food is good, but Aman's hint on Indonesian/Thai influence makes it great. The owner is very visable, friendly, and helpful. Good prices, stellar naan. Try it, you will not be disappointed. Pros: Delicious food, great service, BYOB Cons: Possibly overlooked because it is in a strip mall more

Chicken Korma is the best! 4/24/2009

Best Indian Food I have found in the Philly area. Be sure to chat with the owner Dev Singh. He is great! Always makes you feel welcome. The lunch buffet is nice if you go mid day. Pros: Chicken Korma, Tikka Masala, Owner Dev Singh Cons: None to speak of. more

Best Indian food, best flavors! 3/2/2009

Best Indian in PA...maybe in the states! Super service and amazing food! Our favorite restaurant! The shrimp biryani, lamb vindaloo, and lamb korma are awesome! Alu tiki is a great way to start your meal! Go and try! more

Delicious Introduction to Indian Cuisine 2/22/2009

Prior to eating at Aman's, I'd never had Indian food before, and looking back on the experience, I couldn't imagine a better introduction. Pros: food, service, price, ambience Cons: Indian food in general can have a diuretic effect, so be ready for the bathroom afterwards! more

Best Indian Food Anywhere! 10/8/2008

Simply put, I LOVE Aman's. The food is perfect and the service is exceptional. I bring my two sons with me (my wife is not fond of Indian food) and we devour the vegetable samosas, exquisite chicken tikka masala and chicken korma. Their red and green thai curry dishes are also unique...very different from what you would get at a Thai restaurant. Delicious naans and mango lassis are also recommended. We prefer our food without cilantro and with all breast meat, and they are always accommodating. Both Daves (the taller one is the owner) are great to chat with and are very welcoming. There was one review that commented on a lack of English, but I've been going to Aman's since they opened and have NEVER had a problem with this. Pros: Delicious food, great service, friendly staff and owner. Cons: 40 minutes from my home but worth the trip. more

Best Indian I've seen outside Philly 3/19/2008

Mostly been for dinner, but even the lunch buffet is done with care, lots of choices and each flavored differently and well, veggies not cooked into mush. Don't miss the mulligatawny. Better than average selection of vegetarian dishes. Heat level in medium matches ""hot hot"" at most suburban restuarants. Most patrons typically Indian when I've been there. Prices about average, food way above. Mango lassi was the only disappointment - ok but not wow like the rest of the food. Very welcoming to families with kids. We drive from Lansdale, leaving Sultan and Greater India in our rear view mirror... Pros: Food quality, selection, friendly owner Cons: Limited english in some staff more

Best Indian Food I've EVER Had! 12/23/2007

I consider myself a food lover, I like to try new tastes and culinary experiences. I was a recent devotee to Indian cuisine and had tried several places and ""liked"" it but wasn't wowed, I still prefered Middle Eastern and Morroccan. My husband and I tired Aman's on a fluke because it was close to my grandmother's house and he had seen it once when out to lunch with work friends. Let me tell you, FABULOUS! We go to the buffet so we can try all the different offerings but so far my favorite is their House Paneer. My little boy loves to go with us, eventhough he's a picky eater, for the na'an and the basmati rice. My baby girl LOVES the gajerela. In fact while I was pregnant with her I CRAVED Aman's Cholle (similar to Chana Masala). Pros: The Food, The Service, The Value, The Lunch Buffet!! Cons: It's not closer to my house! more

BEST INDIAN FOOD ive had in America 12/12/2007

Ok, so I am Indian or a ""Desi"" and I love this place. Usually if you go to an Indian restaurant and there are lots of Indians there as well, it is a good bet. The food is amazing and made to order. This is a great place to take someone who is unsure of Indian food because they will fall in love with it! I have taken may friends there, and I have had only positive feed back. They do great take-out and cater well to groups, large and small. Pros: FOOD, service, prices, take-out Cons: byob- can be a pro if you prefer your own selection more

good food but bad service 11/12/2007

I have been to this reataurant several times since 2003. Nice food. Only negative point with Aman is the owner`s behavior. I observed this in all my visits. Aman`s owner chats with everyone at their tables but never comes to the table and chat with Desis. Pros: Food Cons: Service more

Best Indian food in the Burbs, period! 7/16/2007

Just moved here from Los Angeles and friends told us about this place, you may never find it from the road because it's buried in a shopping strip. Anyway, its a must, read on.. more

Absolutely fantastic! 7/12/2007

I have recommended this restaurant to all of my friends and family. My boyfriend and I googled restaurants in the Conshohocken area to see if we could find an Indian restaurant nearby, and the only critique of this place was that it was located too far away from one of the reviewer's. This restaurant is really worth the drive if you're not from the area; this is the best Indian restaurant we have been to out of many restaurants in several cities along the Northeast coast. The food is excellent and the staff are very attentive, particularly to your sensitivity to spice. The prices are very affordable. Also, the layout of the restaurant is nice as well- it can easily accomodate a large group, but if you come in a smaller party, the noise level is very low. Some other restaurants we've gone to have great food but you can't hear a thing because of the acoustics and layout. Altogether a great place to have a relaxing and enjoyable meal. more

Best Indian Food in AREA! 3/17/2007

We are total foodies, and this is the best Indian cuisine outside of India! The food is fresh, authentic, and when you ask for MILD they understand what MILD means! We only wish they were not 45 minutes away from our house! Thank you Amans for the best Indian food in the area. more
