Sports-related injuries can have serious and long-lasting effects on both serious and casual athletes. Injuries, particularly those not properly cared for, may develop into conditions that can last a lifetime.
Sports-related injuries require specialized care to promote optimal healing. Whether you are young or old, a weekend jogger or tennis player, a college athlete or marathon runner, injury to the muscles and joints can limit or prevent your participation in sports. With proper diagnosis, prompt treatment and rehabilitation, individuals often can avoid permanent damage and return to the level of functioning they enjoyed before the injury.
